St Elmo, and others, just like EVERY OTHER REQUEST FOR INFORMATION, we are not yet talking about Dragon Age Inquisition and likely won't be until sometime in the spring of next year.

I know this won't stop people from asking their questions "what hardware, which characters, what story, etc" will be asked, but we will NOT be answering these type questions until spring of next year.

This is definitely not going to stop people from asking 1000 questions a day

Since you won't be talking about the game until next spring, I'm wondering why you decided to create the Dragon Age 3: Inquistion category on the forum in the first place.

Is this a serious question? The forums are created for the users to talk about the game, not for the developer to give you info.

So, the users should talk about the game, even though they basically don't know anything about the game so far. That's an interesting notion.

Point being that the uses are talking about game, with or without real information to discuss. So here's someplace to do that. Until we have more information to offer, that's really all it's for. Same as the DAO forums were for almost three years before the marketing campaign launched.

And I would interpret Chris's all caps as emphasis. That this is not the time for us to be answering questions, or to have folks demanding answers (as if such answers were imperative to receive immediately) evidently bears repeating.

I saw it as more of a request for information: "Are you, the developers, considering sticking with the limitations of the current generation of consoles and the resulting poor conversions to the PC platform, or are you considering developing primarily for the next generation of consoles, or are you considering developing for the PC first and porting it over to consoles?"

This is the right time to ask this kind of question, before *development even starts*.

DA ]|['s been in development for well over a year.

This was NOT a "before development starts" question.

Hey, that's a not-bad song.

Not-terrible song maybe.  But it is the media equivalence of ball-gazer.  And getting people to unintentionally see it gives me a sense of accomplishment.

I refer you to my earlier post. People were already talking about it, and were asking for a place to talk about it that wasn't off topic. Seeing as we had a DAO forum for 3 years before there was "real information", that's hardly without precedent.

So... talk about it. Feel free. Just do it with the knowledge there are things we can't and won't discuss yet, and requests for information are likely going to just go unanswered. There's no need for any questions to be answered yet. If that frustrates you, and the only reason you come to these forums is to have questions answered, then leave the forums and come back later. That's all there is to it.

The forums are a place for people to discuss the games amongst each other? I thought it was a place to lobby developers to have it catered a specific way. I mean, that's what the majority of posts are... /confused

I hope people don't think I was demanding an answer :S just making discussion is all!

Thats cool! I wasn't expecting an answer (i.e. demanding one) just throwing it out there ya know?

I am way to technically illiterate to be reading anything in this thread, but I guess I should start saving now for DA3 yes? I have a decent desktop for gaming and it can run most games as long as I don't demand it perfectly render an ants ass but I want to enjoy the splendour of the DA universe on a new engine in full.

Though the question of whether it will be on this gen or next gen's console is a good one. I actually have no idea when they will come out either, if anything by-way of that has even been announced.

Your choice if you want to buy a new PC for DA3, in which case sure, you start saving I guess? Don't see why though if you have a perfectly good machine already.

Release dates for the next-gen consoles haven't been announced. The question of whether DA3 will be on old or new consoles might be a good one, but irrelevant and impossible to answer at this time!
