And another easy way is to have a blood mage in te party, just put your tank on the archdemon and let your blood mage use blood boil not forgeting to heal your tank with the other mages shouldn't be too hard ;-)

I too my be really bad. I can't seem to defeat the archdemon either at least on PS3. I get nailed by the darksqawn. One of the major problems I'm having is I can't see the health on the archdemon. so when it hits that 45% and calls the hordes of darkspawn I can call on my armies. Is it easier to defeat the archdemon on the computer version?

Maybe - when the Archdemon summons other darkspawn, I summon an army (usually the Dwarves) and they and my companions pretty much take care of the darkspawn without me. I keep an eye out for any emissaries and tell my companions to focus on them if they appear, and a few stragglers will catch me up, but generally I'm free to shoot the ballistas at Archie all day long. And that's on nightmare.

I played this game on xbox and pc. It is harder on xbox because you can't control each team member. I did win it several times with a dex shield/sword Alistair, two mages and a rogue. Alistair high spirit resistance 75%, true death poison, acid bombs. Don't call an army until the archdemon goes on the platform. Let the army take on the darkspawn. Select all team member keep them together and go after the Archdemon.
A dex Alistair could use a bow, rogue uses a bow and mages Aoe the archdemon on the platform. Quickly switch back if darkspawn attack you. I always bring spirit resistance salves.

So true. it is much easier on computer.
