Because we haven't had a perfect run yet. We keep getting bad objectives. Our current record is 9:04.



On that run, we had Hack, Kill and Escort objectives IIRC. If we can get a combination of pizzas/escorts then we might able to get 8:30 or something. Unfortunately it's a matter of luck, so we have to keep trying.

Anyone worked on cheesing the solo record with lolCompartments? I figured Sy7ar or Stentron might be giving that a try, then again, perfect objectives and all that.

I'm not saying that I'd disregard a new record, if that's what you mean. The fastest time is still Reegar Kroguard vs Geth, right?

Well, I know myself that even with max "cheese factor" it's still not easy. I can't get <18min with Reegar Kroguard and god forbid I get < 20 with anything else ;_;

tried it, got 16:04 or something on cerberus. still not as fast as before I got 15:54 on geth

as someone who consistently gets that medal on console, I will definitely say it is rare to see those medals on xbox. I am always surprised that I dont see more of them on console games though. Especially, with how easy I hear it is from Tatty. 

As for the speed run, it is a great time, but AC leaves an * in the record book. Its like Barry Bonds owning the home run record.

I thought that a speedrun was a way to test the limits of the game with all the tools available. Armored compartments is then acceptable.

But if you consider that it's a competition with specific rules you should first advertise them, don't you think? GI could be seen in the same light as AC, a little bit cheap.

Well, speed running is all about having the most OP builds/set ups possible.

It's ok to have GIs/QMIs with level X ultra rares and a ****load of equipment but it's not ok to have Armored Compartments ? Doesn't make any sense.

The game has definitely changed, however the argument of everyone using novaguards is a little lame.

I was simply stating that the record set in that run is not a good comparison to the previous record. Both are impressive in their own right, just different. I look forward to seeing the sub 9 minute run once it happens.

The thing is, even if we did a no-Armored-Compartments speed run, you wouldn't be able to compare it with the previous record because new enemies were introduced. They're relatively easy to kill and take up a lot of the wave budget.

Still nicely done guys. They have changed the game so you can't directly compare the old times to the new one. The map isn't the same as it was either. We are going to have to give this a go with armored compartments sometime and see how it goes.
