I don't see the fun in playing with a group that's all "better than good" I think of myself as pretty good at this game, but nowhere near the level of some of these folks....... and if I play on a team of people all around just my skill level gold seems easy. (I can't get the appeal of platinum personally)..... so a team of folks all of this skill level..... would there even be any challenge for you guys? I mean enjoy the game how you want and all.... I just don't see the appeal..... maybe grab two of you guys and a pair of raw scrubs who at least are willing to give it their all and drag them to victory. Meh... what do I know

The challenge may be a bit lessened playing with all good players, but it's an annoyance playing with teammates that are deadweights and bleed out every round and they leech off of you for points and cash.

It's a nice feeling when you know what to do on every map and look behind you to see you're entire team backing you up with combos and synergy setups.
That is the appeal which can be achieved at any skill level.
When people stop trying to compete for first and don't speed run every map the same way it becomes fun.
Team first, not score.

Team of biotics/Team of techs = ultimate destruction. Any team that knows the synergy between primers and detonators will dole out the most damage within a short period. A good primer is like the Justicar or Drell, and a good detonator is something like the Novaguard or Paladin.

Would I qualify? I can solo gold and platinum with 10 waves survived easily, but these days I guess that's just an average player right? 

On a more serious note, I rather keep to my new thing of helping bronze and silver players get used to gold and platinum instead of having an elite team to play with, cause when you have pretty much done it all in this game the only challenging thing is to have new and upcoming players join you and help them get better 

Make sure to record some games though, would be nice to watch!

Joining the group doesn't mean you have to play with the members all the time, it's just so we know whos who when we want a good game.

Good luck with this group. You're going to see a lot of cries of "elitist douchebag," but that's only because a lot of folks on this forum are jelly. I mean, I'm jelly too, because I could never solo platinum with a Volus, but I'm not a dick about it.

I'd be willing to bet that a lot of very good players won't actually join up on this sort of thing, though. I've met a lot of great players who don't like to apply the "very goddamned good at this game" label to themselves.

Still haven't recieved an invite for you to carry my Drelldept through Platinum! Would love to Drellguard, but my build is just awful for Platinum. Never really tried non-OP stuff on Plat, but if you're fine with carrying my stupid ass, I'd love to give it a go.

the drellgurad is platinum viable. But i like the stripperguard better though. Lift grenades are epic

I know that. That's why I said 'my build.' I don't want to respec because I love the way it plays on silver and gold, but I actually use 'Pull' pretty often, and there's just nothing to Pull on Platinum. I generally find Gold funner, so building a class I love around effectiveness in a difficulty I rarely play just doesn't make sense.

...odd question, but have you ever considered an all-Pull run?
