Its not. i've tried to make a use for it. its horrible. even on bronze it sucks

same. I thought TS was the only one working right. That the fix was for them all to be like him. Really liked the count down aspect of it.

Yo Bioware, I'm really happy about these balance changes, imma enjoy them, but The Vorcha Engineer one of the worst DLC characters of all time.

I feel the same way :( the only characters that was made with greatness was the turians and the voluses :(

No.

Shield gate cooldown is the time it takes your shield gate to be functional again. What is shield gate then? It's a mechanism that prevents damage leaking to your health from one shot after your shields are gone. For example, let's assume your chosen character has 500 health and 500 shields. Now, a shot of 1000 damage would normally kill you but with shield gate you actually lose only 500 shields and no health at all. (In addition there's the health gate that will work similiar to shield gate).

With this week's balance changes the time it takes the shield gate to be ready again is 3 secs and it has nothing to do with how fast your shields regenerate. It's there to make the game more enjoyable. Afterall, watching the match from the ground isn't very fun. :)

Wow, those are incredibly specific changes of questionable importance (except for the objective spawning) and there are entirely too few. Lazy. Bioware - Do some **** - Halo 4 came out last week and Black Ops 2 is out this week, the playerbase is shrinking by the second. Not that buffing a few guns will make a difference.. But if they want to keep making money off of their obsessive compulsive customers who pay for packs, then they had better keep up the quality and dearth of content. I'm not seeing that, and I'm finding it really difficult to make myself play ME3 these days. There are too many entirely better games that *aren't* populated due to their Poke-Pack hoarding meta-game, for me to be...
Nevermind. Do whatever. I'm going to go play AC3, Halo, BO2, Dishonored, or Borderlands. Call me when there is another real expansion - I was extremely disappointed when I found out that the Retaliation pack didn't actually have any new levels. I appreciate the Collectors a lot (even if they are busted atm), but more UR guns that I need to pray to unlock isn't going to do the trick.

well, I already know what would come out in the next DLC ;)
(no, I didn't hack the BW servers and no, I am not an Employee)

We will get new weapons

Basically all the weapons from SP that are not available in multiplayer, mostly DLC weapons:

ADAS Anti synthetic rifle (assault rifle)

Blood pack punisher (smg)

Blood pack executioner

Venom (shotgun, shoots explosive rounds similar to the Scorpion heavy pistol)

Chakram launcher (assault rifle, people got that one for doing the "kingdoms of amalur demo), will be available for everyone in SP when ME3: Omega comes out

Additionally there MAY be some new mods for the weapons, like for example a mod that improves the rate of fire (though it will most likely use the spot of the piercing mod or clip size upgrade so you can't put them into the same gun (to keep them balanced)
Furthermore, there COULD be a clip size upgrade for sniper rifles (though if the sniper rifle needs to reload after each shot like the Widow, then the clip size won't change

More ammo types... nope, there are too many already, the game did fine with the ones that we had pre-retaliation

Gear equipment... maybe clip size enchancers/moving speed increasers (if there are not such here already), rate of fire improvers

new characters? Maybe, but only expect one or two for each class
new maps? all the DLC maps get a hazard, but there won't be all new maps (because there are too more than enough maps here already)

New enemies?
haha, quite possible, Cerberus could recieve the mech seen in the omega DLC (you could see it in the demo of that DLC, videos are on youtube), the finished mechs on the ground become mines if stepped on by accident

The geth could get an actual close combat class that CAN kill you in one go (like the Cerberus phantom), that way the geth will (finally) become challenging
The Reapers... who knows, some support unit that gives out barriers doesn't sound bad
Collectors... they need a proper "hunting" close quarters unit, piece something together that would do fine


Well, additionally we could get some better options to cutomize your characters appearance (more different patterns would be fine)

PVP... finally, it WILL come out





haha, just joking, you can hope for that in the next mass effect game (Mass effect 4, the one still in EARLY development, I kinda hope your ship will be BIGGER than ne Normandy SR2)


And maybe the next MP DLC will feature more Prothean weapons (come on, the protheans didn't only shoot with an oversized laser pointer)

Just wondering what this actually means. Has this change been elaborated upon? I think I might be really happy they did this (if Xcom hadn't sucked up all my gaming time in the last week, anyway).

I had wondered about that, the one game I played him. I'd thought it was just because it was the first time I'd touched him since achievements were introduced.

So a few changes. Only one of which is really significant. And less significant that you'd think.

Point by point:
Hazard maps; nothing to say here.

Vorcha Hunter; sup-par, uninteresting class that was given the wrong version of one of its powers. A frail Batarian Sentinel. Probably the second-worst class of Retaliation.

XP/Score changes; will change pretty much nothing at all. N7 Mastery will go slightly faster. That's about all.

Shield Gate; an appreciated change, but not as significant as you might think. 3 seconds is still a long time. For Vanguards, it's an eternity. If they really want to make it work, they'd make it so that at the very least, your shieldgate returns as soon as shields start regenerating naturally, and at best, whenever the player regains shields (Energy Drain, Biotic Charge, etc.).

Objectives; finally. It's not really significant other than it should have been fixed before releasing the maps in which it's an issue. Apparently no one thoroughly playtested the maps. Still doesn't fix certain near-impossible objectives, too.

Challenges; TSol was a bit excessive, but the other challenges update too sparsely. Every 5 waves would be nice. I actually preferred the constant updates to having to check my N7HQ frequently.

Considering the delay, it's a pretty pathetic balance change. Not really any reason for players to come back and give the new stuff a try.
