Hi there, I'm working on an extended larger version of the Redcliff Castle defense event with pre-quests to bolster the defense. The problem I'm having is getting the dialog to adapt depending on the quests currently accepted. I'm new to scripting and the toolset itself and this is a pain. Basically I currently have 5 quests you pick up and I've set the plot flags etc for them but I want to be able to cut down the dialog for that section of speech.

So the quest giver has the base:
"Which would you like to hear about: The local garrison. An Elvish camp. A blacksmith. The ranger. The mad hermit."
As I pick up the quests I'd like to remove them from the options. So if I had the quest about the garrison the quest giver's dialog would look like:
"Which would you like to hear about: An Elvish camp. A blacksmith. The ranger. The mad hermit."

As a guess would it be a script treating the dialog as a string with If statements for each quest section? Its been a while since I've done scripting or programming so I'm a bit out of practice. Any help would be gladly appreciated. :)

Set extra plot flags for having seen the options. On each option, in the condition require that flag to be false, and in its action set it to be true. Don't associate any journal text with those plot flags and the player will be none the wiser :)

Ahh I understand. I changed the main convo text so the quest giver says. "Which do you want to heard about:" Then the player response lines have a conditional setting to only display if the "quest_accepted" flag was false. Thank you very much for this simple solution. ^_^
