No seriously, I get sick of seeing Sheploo's face everywhere. No offense to the actual Mark Vanderloo, but ain't nothin' wrong with a little feminine swag.

Male Shepard is the Mass Effect poster boy, you're gonna see his face everywhere.

Nah, they finally gave FemShep a fair slice of the marketing pie for ME3. As an advocate of player choice and strong female leads, I'd like for the trend to continue.xBUMMx wrote...

They gave her a bit of attention, but not as much. The male Shepard trailers came first, he's on the front of the case (originally, I know Female Shepard is on the FLIP side), and they still use him for almost everything. The only time they actually use a Femal Shepard in marketing or promotional images is when so many people complain about it and they do what they can to appease the hungry demon creature that is the BSN.AdmiralCheez wrote...

silhouette of....a pre op Transvestite?
That's the thing, though: the media is so obsessed with appealing to the least common denominator that they forget that everyone else exists. Unless you're the one actually making stuff, the only way to make a change is to make some noise about it.xBUMMx wrote...

1. FemShep IS the One True God, you heathen. You'd better get to genuflecting before I have you stoned for your blasphemous ways.I'm not saying some FemShep banner support is a bad idea, just that people that CONSTANTLY whine when Male Shepard is used for anything because in their mind FemShep is the one true god, when Bioware sees the Male Shepard as default. They can use what they want, and most companies wouldn't have released a trailer because some of the fans got all rage face because they didn't like an aspect of it.

Oh, come on. All you have to do is open up the image file, go to the layer with Sheploo, and swap it out for FemShep. Including visual tweaking and everything, it'd take 20 minutes, tops. I imagine creating a "select banner version" tag would take little effort as well. File size would also be comparatively small, and thus it would easily fit in with a later patch.Gashie wrote...
But on a more important note, I rather they be focusing on game balance changes, bug fixes and everything else. Redesigning the look of banners shouldn't take precedence over the rest in my opinion.

Admiral, first things first: that article disgusted me so bad that I closed it halfway through and cleared my history.
Completely serious, BUMM. Completely.Second, I really hope you weren't serious about the "heathen" comment.
Being outnumbered doesn't mean you don't deserve equal treatment.Third, I think that the Male Shep fans actually outnumber the FemSheps (casual male gamers and whatnot, plus people in my boat), just that the FemShep fans were more vocal because, well, they didn't get anything.
Not as awesome as they were a couple years ago, but still awesome nonetheless. And lastly, yes, Bioware is awesome.
Being outnumbered doesn't mean you don't deserve equal treatment.
Hey, no problem. I fully realize that the ME3MP community is EXTREMELY male-dominated*, and not once did your comments hint of bashing.xBUMMx wrote...
Oh, I know it doesn't. I think I may have misread you as saying that the FemSheps were more numerous. My bad. Like I said, I would support it. I would always support more customization. My point was never to bash on FemShep. Sorry if you originally though that, and that goes to everyone, not just Admiral.
