Give a GI / Javelin X a chance?  Yes

Trust a GI / Javelin X to know what he/she/it is doing? Not off the bat.  Shortly after Resurgance released, I had to carry a wave for a PUG Ghost/Cerberus/Gold using my Human Engie because the GI / Javelin X in the team was ... inadequate.

One of my first Platinum games:
I rolled with SI with level 4 consumables. Others were a destroyer and two demolishers.
By wave 3, I have 5 revives medal. Wave 3, I use rockets to take out the targets. I go down and get stomped. They go down in a minute and don't use gel. In the lobby, they kick me (I was highest scorere BTW, if you are curious).

Well, sir. Then to each their own. If you cant stay alive on Bronze, then I guess it was "dumb"...

And if you kick vanguards for "kill stealing" and claim it was due to a "lack of respect" then you're a moron. How dare they kill enemies, and earn XP for everyone in doing so in this co-op game.

... Some people.

Then what exactly do you do? Sit in a corner and do nothing? Use a character with a deployable that can kill people? I'm quite sure you show zero frustration in the same circumstance, right sir? I walk my talk. I doubt you walk yours.

That doesn't happen to me anymore, wanna know why?

Because instead of whining about a lack of enemies to kill, I improved my own game.

Ahhhh... So it's my "lack of skill" isnt it? If you played with me when I am on my game, you'd know I do just fine and can handle myself... I am almost done with my Bronze Solo challenge and if I could show my records, I would prove that but I am unsure if I can... Next I'm going to try Silver and see if I can complete even one. Who knows, maybe I will... There's not enough missiles for Solo Gold/Platinum lol and I refuse to glitch...

My point is... It's about common courtesy. Not skill, "killstealing" or whatever... It's expecting others to be as respectful of me as I am of them. Like all the times I revived this one guy who dropped every wave on Bronze today... All the times I use a missile to kill an enemy for the objective, etc. etc. Is expecting decency and proper gameplay wrong?

You are the reason that bronze players are looked down upon by some people in these forums. Please stop, you're giving bronze people a bad reputation.

Also thanks for including your GT in your sig.

Edit: 260 hours and you're still playing bronze....

Because instead of whining about a lack of enemies to kill, or complaining on the forum that my teammates are too good, I improved my own game.

I think I'll just..hop in here.  :bandit: Even though I should have quoted the other guy. :wizard:

Moving up from Bronze would possibly help too...not a lot of enemies on Bronze.

Some people like to take their lower levels to Bronze, so yes it is possible to come close to death.  Also, not everyone puts all their points into fitness right away, especially on a Vanguard I would assume.  And what does getting the kill matter?  You obviously did most of the work, so you get most of the points.

Also, challenges aren't "backbreaking".  You can either choose to do them or not.  Bronze is hardly the place to be doing challenges.  It might be the easiest, but it's the slowest in some cases.

I've never had a problem with Vanguards.  The only time it's annoying is when there are 3 of them.  Then again, I only play Bronze/Silver when I've promoted.  Most people have gotten over Vanguards "kill stealing".

P.S. I don't have a problem with Bronze players, just saying that you should consider moving up a difficulty.  Silver is probably the most fun of the difficulties anyways if you get comfortable with it. Unless you can carry Gold pugs.

Ashen is right. You want to kill stuff and get score despite others killing fast? Improve your own game. Personally, I would be happy that someone killed that enemy instead of me. What matters to me is the enemy is dead and I can focus on some other enemy. Kill stealing in a co-op game. Pffftt.

This.

Fortunately, I wouldn't even be able to place a preemptive kick vote on him because he has the sense not to play on the higher levels.

Especially with that attitude.

...I'll refrain from commenting on bronze solos, but not for thinking it's common courtesy to leave an enemy alone rather than actually helping the damned team. Sitting back and watching people take down an enemy is what leachers do. It's much more disrespectful to the team to leach than to actually help others kill stuff. Acting like it's disrespectful to shoot enemies just because someone else has shot that enemy is ****ing stupid. It's an attitude that's actively bad for finishing matches in a timely manner.

Well, I didn't say I wouldn't babysit them.  Actually, if I see any Javelin's I honestly worry some.  Because there's that delay.  Most people don't know how to cope with that.  I had to carry a Reactor/Collector/Gold game shortly after the DLC.  It was me, using a Ghost with a Harrier 1, specced out of Overload at the time.  I wasn't using grenade capacity but assault rifle amp V.  The funny thing about that is, there was another TGI with a Harrier VIII, and he came 2nd.  He  bled out multiple times.  I had to solo 3 waves.  Score doesn't matter but, in the end my score was 180k with 2 or 3 rockets used for target elimination.  After that, one of the randoms kept calling me the Chuck Norris of Mass Effect.

If only he would come to BSN.  He would see the Justice League of Mass Effect.  As well as the real Chuck Norris of Mass Effect.

Editted: For bad info. :o

Are you seriously implying that leveling the Javelin has any effect whatsoever on the firing delay?

Been very fortunate and haven't been kicked more than maybe 3-5 times since the game came out, usually to make room for a Live Party player I imagine. Even on Gold. (Not even kicked for accidentally leaving an AR mod equipped when I'm using a pistol....)

What was this topic about again? The point system is pretty awful but that is another discussion. If you look at it the person who gets credit for the killing damage gets more points for that damage than any other damage done to the target that does not kill the target. The points are not based on damage done, as you might think.

Of course this is only relevant if you care about the scoreboard. And if you are really concerned about the scoreboard, maybe you are in the wrong game.

Doesn't it?  It seems to fire faster at X than mine does at III.  That's going off videos though. Same set up used.

Back in the day when i was fairly new to Gold, i was constantly getting kicked for my low N7 ranking, i say low, it was over 100... [Depite it meaning squat about my ability as a player]

Ironically these days with my N7 rank at 300, i don't get kicked even though i'm rocking very similar classes to the ones where i was kicked ¬¬

Every now and then, I still hear the odd skeptical comment from people before a game starts but funnily enough when i top the score board/do really well, it's nothing but silence XD

I dont see how really... It's a forum and I have an opinion and will never be shy to express it whether anyone likes it or not, I am here to express my opinion and thats all... if my opinion isnt popular or you dont like it, you can just ignore it. Likewise for myself towards Ashen Earth and anyone else who doesnt like my opinion...

It's called playing for fun and I dont "have fun" on Platinum or Gold, I have fun joking around on Bronze... If others have fun on Platinum and Gold, who am I to judge and that should go vice versa as well...
