I will say that there were some high level players that had a reputation for kicking people all the time ( and posted such ), so there are some reasons why people will make assumptions.

I was that way before I could reliably carry a bad team, and before I maxed out my manifest. Now that I have pretty much everything in the game, I don't really lose a whole lot by wiping before wave 10. I usually won't kick even when it's fairly obvious the players shouldn't be in Gold+, as long as they're actually trying.

Touchee... Also, some people in this thread are just unbelievably stupid, I mean I've seen asanine comment after asanine comment on the search for your post to find the "other story" you posted (every single Ashen Earth kick story has been entertaining).

OT - I haven't been kicked for anything ludicrously stupid. If I was then they didn't deserve a place in my backpack... I only ever kick if you are a douchebag or if my friend is coming. I always send messages to the people I kick to make room for a friend (or ask them to leave).

EDIT - Wait I was once kicked for using a Melee specced Geth Infiltrator. Not a stupid reason (it was before GodlessPaladin posted the Electric Ninja build) but still a little annoying given that they hadn't even played with me before.

I dont' know what i was kicked for. Was loading when i can kinda hear the others talking, the once i finished loading i get a you have been kicked message. LOL That was a first.

The other time i landed in a lobby with just the host in there and they gave me the kick sign, so i just left.

Yes it has happened multiple times, despite usually bringing a level x ultra rare with it. Got a message after a game the other day from a lobby where I only had 2 kick votes . Rare to see someone admit they were wrong.

Yeah that's odd. Especially since the fire/cryo explosions have been improved.

Also a little unrelated but still quite idiotic. there was a group of players I used to regularly play with, they deleted from their FLs because "They were 33 year old..."

Using a Human Vanguard on Gold before the patch fixed the bug.

i've been kicked for no reasons I can even fathom. No one on mic tells me what's up. In fact I've entered a lobby and been insta-kicked. Probably dumbasses who don't know how to set the game to Private or Friends Only.

That's about it really. I don't know how some of you guys get kicked so much. I've been playing MP since the beginning and it's been pretty good.

First multiplayer match. I had no idea what I was doing. I made a male human vanguard and gave him the katana 1 and predator 1. I proceeeded to join quick match u/u/u at the time thinking the game matched players based on N7 ranking. Naturally, the game put me in a Platinum match.

I was promplty kicked for "trolling" the lobby with a level 1 character. Default setting of U/U/U isn't nice to newbies Bioware.

How frequently do all of you get told the reason you were kicked?

I've been kicked a couple of times (presumably for having a build that didn't mesh/looked too weak), but I've only ever once had anyone actually message me to tell me I was being kicked to make room for a friend. Which I actually appreciated because I think I was second on the score board in a previous game we played and we all played well together and I remember thinking "man, why'd they kick me?"

Other than that ... I try not to take a kick too personally. And if I know I played a horrible game, I usually leave the lobby right away to save people the trouble of having to kick me haha.

I only ever kick people if they are taking too long in the lobby (the timer fixed that for the most part.)

After so many years of forum diving, I've pretty much conditioned myself not to read sigs. The hardest one to ignore on BSN is KillerAngel's sigs, though.

Nothing wrong with that because fun for people is to feel they contribute and if they get out scored, especially with nade streaks and such they do not have fun.  I had a couple of similar games with the Krog sent and would not have been upset if I was kicked.  If things are under control I back off in games where I am dominating even though it would be easy to rack up the kills.

I have never been kicked. I was asked to leave once to make room for a friend, which I didn't have a problem with. I got a kick vote which I think was a joke for playing a Batarian when they first came out but everyone readied up and the game started.

Also I have very rarely seen anyone kicked. Maybe 1 in 15 games for not readying up after a long time but that has largely stopped with the auto start in recent patch. Very, very rarely have I seen anyone vote to kick before a game starts, I have seen people ask others to put equipment on and when they don't they vote to kick. I have seen a couple of kick votes for extremely poor performance or not doing the hacks/escorts.

But largely I just haven't seen the behavior that has been reported in this thread.
