No special control, I've just change the keyboard key in the game (ex: Y to forward, B to backward, G to move left, H to move right, spacebar to fire) left mouse to run, and right mouse to aim. Aiming is quite hard for me especially with snifer gun that's why I use them rareley. In the contrary the Falcon is one of my favorite in my condition.

Here a short video of me, unfortunately it's not while I'm playing....but it will give you an idea. It was when I send a video to participate at a TV show, the challenge was to type 25 wiord in one minute. The first 30 seconds are in french. I haven't even soloed Bronze myself!!

I find that I'm EXTREMELY sloppy when playing solo and usually get flanked. When playing with squadmates I can end top score in Gold almost every single time, but on my own I just can't find it in me to do so.
Major respect to this feat. I'm glad you could master Bronze!

Second. 

 That's amazing; i managed to (barely) finish one solo bronze entering the LZ as the 00:01 clicked over.  I can't imagine trying it like that.
