Loads of people want him to return or see him as a companion or love interest. He didn't make any lasting impression on me other than he was just another templar worried about mages.

Most people like to find out what happens if you say to him that you would like to get more intimate... Will he run for it like he did in DAO and you have to run after him or will he think you turned in to a devil and chop your head off.

What? The only thing I remember about him in DAO was that he was trapped on the last floor before you reached the first enchanter and then raved on how we needed to kill all mages.

Yeah, I don't get it either. I didn't hate him or anything, but I could never understand why he's so revered.

I'd like a scene in 3 where he finally snaps after all his exposure to blood magic and insanity, and you have to put him down like a rabid dog. Bring his story full circle, as it were.

There is no "big deal". There's a small group of fans who like him (a lot!) and want to see him return, but there are almost more posts complaining about people asking for Cullen to return than there are posts asking for him to return. Yes, he is a minor character in the series, but this is hardly an aberration on these forums.

People like stuff you don't necessarily like. Ask sincere questions like a big kid, sure. But "juvenile" and "dumb" are just straight-up insults that anyone could apply to anyone for liking anything. The only thing assertions like that prove is that you're not necessarily mature enough to live and let live.

Well as noted, he's been in origins & DA2, is voiced by the brilliant Greg Ellis and has a personality the reminds people of Alistair, if Alistair stayed a devout templar, honestly i wouldn't be shocked at this point if Cullen turns out to be the son of Wynn(sp? whatever the old lady from origins) unless they went into that is Asunder, i dunno

He's a dorky, broody, sensitive charm kinda character, thus fan girl bait (and some guys to *cough*)
