Besides him finding a female Mage warden in Origins attractive, he is the only sane plot relevant Templar left alive you meet in Kirkwall. Emeric is dead in an ally at the end of his quest, Thrask is used in a ritual by Grace at the end of his quest, Keran is kicked out of the order sooner or later, Sampson the addict will still show up at night begging in Lowtown even if he gets back in the Templars, and Meredith will always lose her **** in Act 3.

Not to mention his new fur pelt in the (dubiously) *leaked* concept art is freaking awesome and totally *not* fruity.

truthfully, why does anyone like any character, its all about personal taste, i actually found cullen interesting, and i would really love to see him in future games, it's pretty much the same with most characters in the da universe, some will love them whilst others hate them, the problem is though that some feel their opinions are more important than others, so which ever way the devs go with companions or returning characters some people are gonna whine regardless :(

Yeah sorry for wasting a thread space and all that and yes yes to the annoying guy that's about to post "Use search function" sorry for not being a pro at using this forum.

But like the title says, what's the fuss about him? I don't remember him being anything other than your run of the mill templar

He is the only living DA2 templar that isnt bat**** insane?

There were plenty who wern't insane.

Off the top of my head: Thrask, Keran, those few recruits when looking for keran, Emeric. Also ex-templar Samson, lyrium addiction not exactly his fault.

They all died. (Well, Samson's fate is unclear.) Hence why Cullen is the only "living" templar that isn't batsh**t insane.

Ah, and here we have the bold and sometime dangerous Fangirl. A varied and adaptable breed, the Fangirl comes in all shapes and sizes. You’ll know them for the fevered, somewhat glazed look of their eyes.

She’s scented something… Look at that sudden focus. She’s on him now mates!

Look over there. Behind that rock. Is that??? Oh, Maker it’s poor Ser Cullen again. The lad is cowering and crying. He knows what’s coming bless his heart. What the poor lad doesn’t know is that tears will only whip the Fangirl into further frenzy. They tend to view them as a sign of manly sensitivity you see.
My but Cullen’s been at this long enough. The chap should know better…

OH!!!
OH!!! She got him now!!!!
Run Ser Cullen!!! Run your knickers off!!!!

(The crew runs huffing and puffing trying to keep up with that action as it plays out before them.)

We round the bend and come upon a tragic and heart wrenching scene. On the ground dear listeners lays a broken and franticly pinned Ser Cullen. We bear witness to the sheer horror and desperation in his eyes as he continues to struggle.

You know maybe he should rethink that armor must make it even harder to get away. Ah but it never helped the Arishok to get away, now has it? Oh well no matter now then is it?

Our predator sits perched on the downed preys back merrily pecking away at a laptop.
Where in the void did she keep that hidden? /sigh another mute point dear listeners…

The world of fan fiction is wider today. For better or worse.
Poor Ser Cullen…

I don't see the differance in a bunch of ladies salivating over DA hotties and guys that drool over the ladies. It is what it is. Besides how many video games feature scattily clad ladies. So there's no saying the the male population doesn't enjoy a good oogle now and again. It's only natural XD.

IDK. I never understood his devout following. He was never anything too special or memorable in comparison to other characters. I do notice several homosexual gamers tend to be crushing on him. He has a fair share of female fans, but most of what I see are men for some reason. Possibly the church boy taboo fantasy of forbidden fruit. I do look forward to seeing him again in DA3, as it's always good to see a familiar face.

We have only two guys who regularly visit our thread, and one is straight. Must of us are women. There are maybe 10 altogether who regularly visit the thread. Quite the raving masses, I know.

Btw just say "gaymers"; it will make you sound cool.

I feel so rejected. :crying:

I was watching a show - Face Off on SyFy (great show btw) and they were talking about how the fan base had invented stories for almost every character in the Mos Eisely Cantina scene even though they've never had anything more than the most transitory scene.

Then - as someone pointed out - there's Boba Fett.

Plenty of bit characters are given life through the fan base in countless genres - and Cullen has a handful of significant moments of dialogue.

Only a mild fan - but I don't think it so abnormal to be a fan.

What about Aria from ME? She's a bit character and people love her.
