For people invested in seeing On-Screen Evidence That They Get It On, well, I don't understand that position but I agree that ME1 was very tasteful.

As far as showing violence versus nudity some games allowed the protagonist to go through much of the game without resorting to violence. Planescape Torment comes to mind. So violence is not always necessary for a good crpg. Neither is nudity. I can live without violence or nudity.
One of my favorite games (along with PST) is Deadline by Infocom which is a murder mystery (came with a great set of feelies).
Violence is at the core of crpgs because Dave Arneson used Chainmail (a medieval miniatures wargame created by Gary Gygax and Jeff Perren) to simulate the battles in his Blackmoor campaign. Many of the elements from Chainmail were carried over to D & D which both Arneson and Gygax created. D & D became the basis for all other rpgs and crpgs.
So battles with their violence are a cornerstone of rpgs and crgs. Once again I will ask how much realism do we want in our fantasy? I really am not interested in my fantasy world becoming to much like my real world. I play games to escape that reality for a time until it knock on the door and draws me back.
If we are really going to be serious about love scenes and nudity then I want to hear a LI one time tell the protagonist What!? That is all you got. I could have stayed at home and watch the ladies of the evening in the back alley.

Perhaps your difficulty stems from the assumption that the only reason one might not want to have a sex scene in the game is because we find them morally objectionable or because we think that only perverts would like them? That's really not the case, but if you can't get past that idea then maybe you should indeed see someone about your problem. Perhaps it's not our issue, after all, but yours.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I fully appreciate that developers might choose not to include sex scenes simply because they'd rather focus their efforts on other things. I would never assume that sex scenes or nudity were excluded because of some kind of puritanism on the part of the developers.
It does rub me the wrong way, though, when fans are quick to accuse other fans of being "immature" because they happened to like the sex scenes in the Witcher games, for example. I agree, though, that it would be just as silly to assume that someone who doesn't care for sex scenes or nudity in games is being "puritanical."

Why is a toggle the solution for everything? Aren't those resources better spent elsewhere?

i heard you don't like sex scenes in video games, so we put optional content in your optional content

I still wanna see you explain why TW2 uses sexploitaiton and DA2 doesn't. Just for old time's sake.

Honestly, I don't think it really matters what Bioware does with their sex/romance/kissing/shenanigans scenes. Until I've seen a "Oh noes we have been teleported into the fade on purpose" companion nightmare that involves a schmexy dream/nightmare then I am convinced 68.817% that sex doesn't exist in Thedas.
I'm not convinced that sex and genitalia aren't just psychological constructs in the first place. I close my eyes every time I get near a naked person, so clearly I can't confirm or deny.

You don't "use" sexploitation as such, although you can borrow from it. It's a genre, it has certain conventions, and there's often debate as to whether or not any given example even fits into the category. In any event, I'd say the principle thing that separates the two approaches (in this case, exploitation versus not) is in the former, the element being exploited (be it sex, violence, a theme in particular, etc) lingers beyond its narrative establishment needs and becomes a focus of enjoyment in its own right.
For example, it does not take very long to establish that two characters are having sex, or are about to have sex. Dragon Age 2's scenes fade to black pretty much immediately after everyone in the audience knows what's about to happen.
The Witcher 2 does not stop there, the scenes themselves are meant to be something you enjoy as sex scenes because sex is fun, and they are clearly having sex.
By contrast Mass Effect 1 doesn't really even convey sex, it's something of an abstraction where two naked people move around a little bit to music and talk about how they had sex after the fade to black.
This doesn't mean that nudity is bad, or that sex in games is bad, or that sexploitation is bad. It just means it is what it is. It's not a question of realism, or censorship, or whatever threads like this pretend it is for the sake of argument, it's an artistic choice that comes with its own baggage before we even get into execution or context.

Personally I believe my characters to be in a constant state of sex-having, and the story and combat are an elaborate hoax constructed by Bioware to ruin my fun.

The entire game is just Varric censoring himself for the sake of Fox News.

I think the fade to black scenes were alright. One thing I would like to see is a little more variety. Such as different locations, and for romance encounters to pop up when they aren't anticipated.
I agree with this. I don't think it's necessary for us to actually see anything on screen (though I don't object to it either, before anyone can accuse me of... whatever people are being accused of these days) and I understand that it'd take arguably more resources than it's worth to have unique "scenes" for different characters. There's something to be said for using your imagination, anyway.
However, if BioWare saw fit to add a little variety to the lead up to sexual encounters, well, I'm sure they'd hear no complaints from me, anyway.

I think sex scenes have a place in the game. Hell, If they have necromancy & beheading's why not include some scence's where the pixels...pixilate.
What they acutally show on screen is up to them, Do I think they should be showing animated porn? Hell no.
Should they be able to show that some sort of sexual act occured without actually showing the act in itself? Hell yes.
Will there be Women raising the banner's in the name of Objectification? Hell Yes. Will there be Men shaking their heads in confusion? Absolutley.
