Combat is a part of the game everyone experiences.

Adding some special sauce to the part of the game that everyone is guaranteed to see makes more sense.
And do we have to see al the things I described? Are they essential to feel good? Isn't f.e. a simple kill , where the enemy falls dead to the ground enough?
Juicy kills do make a better trailer, and yes, some sort of reaction beyond falling limp does add to the visceral feeling of combat and a sense of badassery. I would bet most game designers would agree that if all enemies simply fell over upon death, combat might get stale.
However, if this is where you're going with this train of thought, this thread isn't about the hypocrisy of hiding sex/highlighting violence.
