Not in my game. The rest of the council races know after Shepard´s visit, and after sitting out of the war as much as they could I don´t see the Dalatrass in charge much longer. They stop playing the idiot or we´ll give their planet to the Krogan.:)

Doesn't matter, even without the Salarians the Yahg will eventually evolve and advance past the lesser races.

The house. Where Shepard lives.

You know, that guy who wiped out the enormous fleet of super AI dreadnaughts in the ending this is taking place.

Yep. You go ahead and go with that.

Hang, on what? Doesn't that prove that the premise of tech singularity is false?

if they kill us all - natural selection.

if the shep-ai kills them to save us - unnatural protection.

What:? A kid growing up in this future utopia of yours somehow doesn't know the slightest thing about space? Has education fallen so far? Or could it be that civilisation as we know it has collapsed?

Well,"one day" means that the kid will go to space someday. You wouldn't tell a kid that today unless you're an idiot, since he isn't going to go.

As for the rest... yeah, that scene made much more sense pre-EC, with the relays blown up. Even if you have mass effect drives, you don't know much about what's out there. And some planets almost certainly would collapse.

Note that even post -EC, in Destroy some planets would be out of communcation for decades, probably centuries -- even if scientists on Earth or Thessia figure out how to fix relays, if you don't have a working QEC they can't give you the plans, so you're stuck until ships reach you through normal FTL.  In Control and presumably Synthesis the relays should be back within a generation or so, since Repaers can cross the galaxy in about a decade.

Really? Because people don't say these things to kids? People don't talk to little girls about being princesses, and to little boys about being heroes etc?

The fact is, Destroy, Control and Synthesis have the exact same epilogue. If the Reapers are helping with rebuilding, there is no excuse for galactic civilisation to still be collapsed long enough in the future for the records to be lost.

In fact, it looks even better in Refuse where there is mention of an archive (some mention of technology that they actually have), although with the Reapers, who knows.. could be like the  Prothean archives we discovered, and maybe the Reapers are actually going to come back in 50000 years or so.

The point of shutting Harbinger up is what doesn't count here, not Harbinger himself.

I will. Poor Tali and her house. I bet the Yahg killed her, they don't like Quarians in my headcannon. I mean it's a possibility.  You have no way to prove me wrong so it must be true.

Vs humans, turians, asari, krogan, rachni... I don´t see them doing much. They were already kind of quarentined, they aren´t going anywhere, and they aren´t that tough. Without the ceiling shield booster the SB would have fallen very quickly.

No I'm not, I'm just telling you my interpretation of the Destroy ending.  I don't see how me making unfounded claims about your ending is any different from you making undounded claims about my ending.

I agree with the first sentence, but I don't see how the second follows. What evidence and reasons are you referring to?

Riptide's quotes are a good place to start. How many of the conversations with your squadmates, allies and other support the idea of Destroying the Reapers? The vast majority. How many support Control or Synthesis? I can't think of many, and those I can generally seem to be from the villans of the series, or characters with shady pasts and motivations.

The warnings contained in the Prothean beacon foreshadow Synthesis, as does Saren.

Overlord, the Quarian/Geth conflict, the manipulation of the Krogan, Cerberus and TIM all foreshadow Control.

Plus of course, we know how the Reapers operate. Those who attempt to deal with them, use their technology or manipulate them end up being the ones who are manipulated. They end up being the ones working against their own kind. We've seen it time and time again, been warned about it time and time again. We've even argued these very points I'm making now to TIM, merely minutes before we meet the Catalyst.

It's incredible that, when presented with the choice only minutes later, all the prior arguments, all the previous encounters are suddenly and completely forgotten by some, who instead decide to put their trust in a souless, emotionless AI who gives you the barest amount of information to go on.

Personally, I trust what I've seen, heard and experienced over the course of the last 250+ hours of gaming, not a 2 minute one-sided conversation with the being responsible for the nightmare we're facing in the first place.

What unfounded claims have I made regarding your ending?

Everyone other than Harper and the Catalyst say Control is either bad or impossible. That is a fact. It's not about if it works or not, it's about whether or not I agree with TIM's ideals and am willing to trust my greatest enemy. And I'm not. My decision is based on facts and themes presented in the story.

Your decision is based on headcannoning what you think is going to happen in other endings.

I see a better point than you're making. Don't let other people get under your skin so easily. Every post I've seen you write always makes you out as someone with a chip on your shoulder. If other people are being childish about it, just ignore them, don't sink to their level.

The problem is that with Control, it´s not unfounded. People will fear ShepAIrd and try to destroy it. It´s too powerful and will be deemed too dangerous. Pray someone really powerful attacks soon so you´ll proof your good intentions. Assuming you´re Paragon, Renegade leaves clear it´s Big Brother.

With Synthesis there´s no such problems. Once past the sheer stupidity of the idea, and if you can ignore it´s implications or think are worth it, then it brings an utopy. If you are not cynical about them then it´s the perfect ending.

Ideally, the way this SHOULD have been handled is Harper, Anderson, and Shepard all going to meet the Catalyst together. That way all three sides present their arguments at once, and it could have been far more balanced, which each person giving pros for their choice and cons for the other two.

Anderson: Shepard! Don't trust them! We can end this, here and now!

Harper: We have a chance to end this, Shepard, and so much more! Replace the AI, take the Reapers for yourself, save the galaxy! I brought you back because I knew you had what it would take to see this through!

Catalyst: Termination and Subvervience do not solve the problem of organic and synthetic mutual destruction. For there to be everlasting peace, there is only one path forward. but you must decide.

How cool would this have been?

Stating it's a possibility is not an unfounded claim, even if you spell it wrong. It is a possibility. Saying it definitely doesn't happen (or indeed that it definitely does), would be an unfounded claim.

So you're taking your anger out on me, despite my never saying that, when all I have said is I am unwilling to trust the Catalyst and TIM?

Again, your insecurity and childish behavior do you absolutely no credit.

Destroying the Reapers has been Shepard's goal for several games.

No. *Stopping* them and ending the harvesting cycle has been the goal. I'm not surprised that the majority of players choose Destroy, but that argument is nonsense. It may have been *your* Shepard's goal, my Shepard's goal was always to stop the cycle while learning everything there is to learn about the Reapers and their technology. If the cycle could be stopped without outright destruction, then such a solution is the one I would always have preferred. Even back in ME1. I just didn't think I would be offered such a solution.

Lies and headcanonry.  Shepard's goal throughout the games was always to destroy the Reapers  You headcanoning otherwise is like headcanoning "My Shepard hated the Alliance" or "My Shepard was raised by hanar."

Shepard has never actually said "destory the Reapers" has he?  All I can recall from past games is "stopping"
