Am I the only person that doesn't really care for DPS or debuff or any of those silly terms?

I just use powers and space bullets to kill things. I don't care for these stats. WHO ELSE AGREES

EDIT: As a side note, No, I'm not American.

Me!! Fully agree! Although I do hate it when it takes one-hundred million space bullets to kill a husk.

Well, of course, as long as you are a decent teamplayer with decent firepower, it´s a good thing and everything is ok.

Just, yesterday, we meet this guy, playing gold, not putting in any equipment, going like "gogogo" and he didnt even knew a thing bout tech bursts and all and I just thought to myself: What the hell? We taught him a few things then, hope he learned. ^_^

TL;DR: Yes, I care about technical terms and their implications.

Stats are completely irrelevant. The only thing that matters is how fast you can kill stuff. When you have to use a weapon or power (combo) X times and a Y% damage in-/decrease doesn't change that number it's completely and utterly useless.

DPS, not so much. Debuff, yes I do. The fact you can do more damage by casting warp is nice to know when facing a boss by yourself.

I don't understand... what exactly bothers you? The terms? The use of them as ways to define how effective certain combinations might be? What?

Too much math for me anyway so I just take whatever is fun to kill stuff with.

I am not so into it that I gather stats for individual weapons. I pick weapon, I shoot weapon, I kill things. End of story.

Edit: To clarify, I have nothing against the terms. I am just not so into it that I look for the individual stats and base my weapon choices off of that. I use what I am comfortable with. The stat grinding is for eggheads far more involved than I.

Doesn't necessarily bother me, but there seems to be an obsession with DPS and related thing. And I'm like over here sayin, "Eh, who gives a ****? Just fire your gun"

It depends. Tbh, DPS and debuffing only matters in the theorycrafting of the game. As long as you use powers efficiently (you'll know what's efficient from the feel), it'll all be great. Mind you, knowing that, say, your Snap Freeze will lower the enemy armor is brilliant, even if you don't call it "debuffing".

As for DPS, I don't give a toss about the term myself. It's an MMO term because in MMOs you can DPS under any conditions. In ME3, you need to constantly move and use powers, so Weapon DPS should be taken with a pinch of salt... Besides, I just use a Harrier anyway.

Out of interest, what class does OP main? Certain classes care more for debuffing etc than others.

Sidenote: As an aspie, I love OP's signiture <3

Who cares about grammar and any point in sentences, all I care about is to type various words with letters. Who else agrees?
As a side note, I found out that I can't make intentional grammar mistakes.

As a Very side note, I can point out that all these funny words were created to make people understand each other. It is important thing.

Yes, I just use gun gun I find fun to use, I'm kinda bothered at the whole lot of BSN telling people looking for adices that they should only ever use the Harrier/Acolyte/GPS/whatever is considered the best weapon at that time.

No, I'm not a fan of the lingo used for the mechanics of the game.

I just kill stuff without being killed in return. It works.

I understand, you want this thread to have a point. To be meaningful on some level.

But no, it's just a thread about words the OP doesn't care for. If this were off-topic, he'd start a thread about how 'lollipop' is a great word but he's not fond of 'splurge.'

You aren't the only one. For me, DPS = nothing, it's like the N7 level for weapons...

I'm confused about this whole thread, what's the issue?

Is it about nationality? I'm not American either, is that a point of interest?

Is it about semantics, dps is a bad word?

Is it about not caring what does what, just play for fun? If so, why come on the forum, what are you here to find out about, just play.
