I really don't understand. In fact, I love playing against Geth on any difficulty (though I haven't played Platinum yet).

Is it because I love my original Human and Salarian engineers and they make it easier?

Please explain.

Because they are prejudiced toward the Geth.

They see machines and lights and they don't like it!

Definitely! That's what I constantly do to the Geth with disruptor ammo and overload. That's why they become so easy?

Move past an opening such as a window. Prime shot *stun* Drone shot *full stagger*, Prime shot. Downed.

Running along, Drone shot *stagger, break run*, Prime shot *stun, cancels run attempt*, rockets x2. Downed

Apparently the Geth do it? I don't really see it happen very often... but apparently you and I are lucky enough to be stunlockers instead of stunlockees, when it comes to Geth.

Rocket tropers shoot double missiles and stunlock you.

Hunters shoot they GPS once and they stunlock you.

Bombers will stunlock with their close range shock, or with they bombs.

Geth Prime will curve its shots around corners, stunlock you with the first, take your shields off witht the second, and leave you in a deplorable state witht the third.

In addition to the Prime's arsenal, they also deploy their cute combat drones, whose incinerate will stunlock you because why not.

Probably that's why :o

Well yeah but then a teammate gets you back up and you keep going, right?

Alternately, check the opening before you go past it. Trigger the Prime fire cycle... move when the third shot goes past. Shoot the drone and keep moving. Not downed.

Those are all cases where I've been stunned... but not where I've been stunlocked.

That double missile glitch does need to be fixed, though. But when a Hunter shotgun hits me, I usually can react to evade or counterattack before they fire again, so it's just a stun, I'm not locked out of reacting before I get stunned again. Same goes for the Prime shots... though if you're caught out in the open you're SOL, but that's usually true.

Oh ok, I guess I'll just load up with all of these things when going into a random game. You know, just in case I get the Geth.

Tbh though OP I see Collectors how you see Geth. Ridiculously easy and unable to comprehend why everyone finds them hard.

Precisely.
Now try using a Batarian Sentinel on Gold and see how you like the Geth.

Team mate goes over. Attempts revive. Drone shot *stagger off revive*. Prime shot. Team mate
a) attempts to revive again. Prime shot, Drone shot if drone decides to make a guest appearence, Prime shot. Downed
B) attempts to run. Drone shot *stagger, break run*, Prime shot *stun, cancels run attempt*, rockets x2. Downed

Check opening. No prime. Move past opening. Prime's gun moves past doorway. Prime shot *stun* Drone shot *full stagger*, Prime shot. Downed.

Note: Do realise that most people here know that the easiest way to handle geth is camping. Its no revelation or secret.

See, now that I can understand and if you don't have Energy Drain or Overload (or at least your team-playing teammates don't) I can see how it can become a bit harrowing but then...

@ Bluebeam - I'm not too fond of Batarians in general, but I'll give it a shot with with a Turian Soldier?

lol it was just an example; some classes suffer greatly against the Geth and sometimes you can't avoid being in the open and subjected to stunlock. I NEVER willingly use the Asari Adept against the Geth above silver, for instance.
Now that I think about it, I'm not too fond of the Turian Soldier, but I remember some harrowing experience my poor TSol had against the Geth; give it a shot.

all these reasons are why they are the biggest butthole faction.  Collectors aren't far behind.

Stunlocking the stunlockers and/or play characters that cannot be stunlocked make the Geth a joke. It also makes it very dull and boring b/c fighting enemies that either cannot fight back or are unable to harm you is lame.

its not exactly a problem with Geth, its a problem with stun/stagger as a game mechanic. The Geth are simply the most prevalent enemy at causing a stun/stagger.

A cornerstone of game play is being able to provide input into the game to produce output, the problem with stun/stagger is that the player's ability to provide input is removed. We are temporarily not allowed to play. It is intensely frustrating.

OP is an unoriginal troll recreating multiple other threads that already exist. I would not read this thread again.

The Geth require more Afros!

From a game design standpoint, the stun/stagger is a god awful idea. Because input & output = game play. And game play = fun. So, stun/stagger removes player input, which removes game play, which removes fun. They literally designed a game mechanic which temporarily removes fun from the game. Way to go.

The only time player input should be removed, is in a game-over state.
