If they can find people like Cassandra's VO I won't really mind, though all the other Orlasian accents in DA2 annoyed me.

Galyan was my favorite character in Dawn of the Seeker, and he would probably translate very well to RPG follower status. I'd like to see him as a LI, too, but I'm not sure he's got enough angst. Maybe he could have trust/commitment issues instead.
Mostly, I liked him because he was friendly, patient with an unwilling and argumentative Cassandra, and sane. Not bad, for a mage.
Broody? The guy was cracking jokes throughout the entire movie.

Patience, patience, the thread just started.gonzalez.melissa53 wrote...
Looks like the mage is missing a fanbase /sigh... XD Oh well I can still hope. Maybe the movie wasn't as popular with DA fan as I had thought.
I'd join the fanclub, though.

See, I thought the movies and the books were non-canonical?
Yes and no, though mostly yes. All that truly matters is what happens in the video games. That said, if the movie or books line up with your continuity, I don't think there's anything stopping you from saying "This also happened in my universe."

Yes in the movie having Galyan being light hearted made sense, since Cassandra was rather a hard ass. Screaming her head off killing everything in sight sort of gal. You needed Galyan to sort of blance out Cassandra in my opinion. But I don't want him in DA3
But perhaps I'm just being overly picky, I think playing and reading the games and novels so close together was the reason why I think this way.

The Dawn of the Seeker one is canon. It doesn't involve the PC or any of the PC's actions. I think the DA novels are also canon.LinksOcarina wrote...

The comics are the only thing in canon limbo.

I'm not a huge fan of Galyan...no I'm not a huge fan of his personality. For me anyways it seems like the 'funny charming mage' set of traits has been used too much lately and it's getting kind of boring. You had Anders in Awakening and DA2 though he does turn into a stick in the mud to put it...lightly. You had Rhys in Asunder and Galyan in Drawn of the Seeker. And they all share similar traits. Maybe we could have Finn back, the nose in this book sort of mage, or maybe a mage who really abuses his powers as a follower?

No, I also think that the "funny charming X" can be a bit tirind, and I haven't read the books or watched the movie.

Not that it matters. The cast of characters is already decided, so threads like this, while entertaining, aren't really going to change anything.

Thanks you for giving me hope! LOL I had forgotten that. Didn't he say that at PAX?berelinde wrote...
You never know. Mike Laidlaw did hint strongly that we'd be seeing him again. In what capacity, no one (who doesn't work for BioWare) knows.
