I never found Handsome Jack funny. I think he only made me laugh once throughout his diatrides and that was when he did something really deplorable to someone (sorry for the vagueness) and that was that. 

Honestly, I get why people like him, but he takes out all of the humor of Borderlands 2 and borderlines smug for the sake of smugness to me, versus clever writing and fitting in with the black humor that Borderlands 2 is known for. Hell, the best written character is an insane 12 year old girl, and she is only in it for a short amount of time! 

He's a villian. He's not supposed to be funny.

Could have fooled me. Everyone I talk to praises Handsome Jack for his comedic timing and his deadpan delivery. I criticize it for being a major inconsistancy with Borderlands 2.

Then again, the game has some problems with tone as well, but so did Mass Effect 3 which was almost all depressing with no moment of catharsis, versus a game trying to decide to be a black comedy and a serious sci-fi RPG.

While I agree its horrible Mark Meer isn't being considered, Spec Ops is far from a bad game.  Despite all appearences, it is most definitely not just another military shooter.  And Nolan North did do a fantastic job at voice the character's changing persona over the course of the game.

This. I was surprised by how much enjoyment I got from Spec Ops.

Why the hell is ME3's OST not nominated?

Jack is definitely one of the best video game villians I have ever seen... His "douchebaggery" is second to none... Risks his daughter, kills her mother, kills his boss to take over (both murders implied)...

Borderlands 2 did lack identity... but so did 1...

That means that I think that what's commonly referred to as "RPG" today no longer deserves the name. You might just as well give the award to Black Ops 2

The absence of Borderlands 2 and Halo 4 is egregious and inexcusable. I don't care if you think First-person shooters are oversaturated or a dime-a-dozen. Some of them truly stand out, and both of those are perfect examples. I'm guessing they gave those games the snub and nominated Journey and Walking Dead in a pathetic and misguided attempt to be "artsy" or "High-brow".

Hmm, now where else have we seen that go horribly wrong? <_<

Anyway, from the actual nominees, my personal pick is Dishonored.

Wait, how could AC3 gets best X360 nomination? Ubisoft don't even care about 360 players! I have a friend playing AC3 on 360 and said it runs just horrible on his console.

I say ACIII is gonna win big. ME3 does deserve the nominations, give it that much, unless you still feel 15 minutes ruin everything.
