People complain about the ending but I thought ME3 was a terrible game overall as well. Gave a half-heated vote for Dishonored and Torchlight 2.

I had to vote for Jennifer Hale though. She rocks!

Jennifer Hale nominated as best VA
Mark Meer did not.

I'm sorry but Meer turned in a better performance this time around than Hale.

Honestly, he always did.

Looking back, I feel like Meer was more nuanced and subtle, kind of like playing the middle man in both Mass Effect 1 and 2. The delivery of some lines was bad, yeah, but for role-playing purposes it was great.

Hale had great delivery but was always on the extreme ends...which I always felt was a problem if you wanted to switch tones, which I tend to do when I role-play.

Halo 4 not up for GOTY, don't care, the list is invalid now, and I highly doubt ME3 will win anything since this is gamer voted.

Only Most Anticipated & Best Character are fan voted actually. Others are just irrelevant "your pick" which doesn't change anything

Still does not change the fact the list is invalid because ME3 is nominated but Halo 4 is not and Halo 4 was way better then ME3 in every way possible(gameplay, writing, music and graphics)

My sides hurt so bad.

Anyway, I really think The Walking Dead is a serious candidate to GOTY and wouldn't be surprised if it wins.

IMO The music was bad. The gameplay is still the same.

No nomination for original score!? I know the VGAs are a joke but still, unjustifiable in my opinion.

No nomination for Best Original Score? The soundtrack was excellent!

Agree. BO2's track is pure trash even by Jack Wall.

ME3 is easily the best game of the year in my opinion. Voted. Whenever ME3 wasn't around walking dead always got my vote. That game is ****ing awesome and I highly reccomend that everyone goes and plays it. Also, why the hell did ME3 not get a best score nomination?

i hope jennifer hale gets the award. her performance was perfect.

the competition this year is not very tough ... me3 might even win a title ... imo not really deserved but due to the weak other titles.

I voted for Emma Stone lmao. I must be the only person that genuinely despises Jennifer Hale.

Character of the year? I can't not pick Shepard. Say what you want about the endings.
I'm commander Shepard, when I'm playing. And I'm awesome.

Voted for TWD or Journey everywhere I could. Tough when they were in the same categories.

Seriously, Journey for GOTY!

Voted Mass Effect 3 in every category available for it except best rpg.

edit: it's still one of the best releases this year imo, but not a rpg.

Mass Effect 3 was a letdown. Not GOTY worthy at all. Voted for Jennifer Hale and that's about it.

Hmmm...

Since 2006, every GOTY winner was also nominated for Studio of the Year. The winners don't have to match up (in fact, they only have once, leading me to believe that SOTY functions as a consolation prize in much the same way as Oscars for Best Screenplay do), but if you are not up for SOTY, you will not win GOTY.

Which means that it's a two-game horse race between The Walking Dead and Dishonored. As to which one will win? No idea. The first rule of predicting the Oscars is the game with the most nominations, while simultaneously being best positioned to win, usually does so. It's not always that cut and dry, and there are certainly exceptions to that rule, but The Walking Dead and Dishonored are both up for the same number of awards.

Mass Effect 3 will not win Game of the Year, nor should it.  Even Best RPG is in jeopardy.  Usually it goes to the game with the most sold copies, which means ME3 is staring down Diablo III.  On the one hand, the frst two ME games won that award.  But on the other hand, one of only two losses BioWare's ever had in that category have been delivered at the hands of Blizzard.

I'm really impressed with their goty nominess. I'm stuck between Journey and ME3 but Journey is probably the more deserving of the two given the many faults of ME3. I still haven't played the last few episodes of Walking Dead so I can't say anything about that.

On a side note though ME3 should have definitely been a nominee for the best original score. A Future for the Krogan, An End Once and For All, Leaving Earth, I Was Lost Without You... All of them are amongst the greatest pieces of music I've heard in games this year.

I will wait for the last episode of The Walking Dead to decide if I think Mass Effect 3 or The Walking Dead is GOTY.

I'm surprised Mass Effect 3 isn't nominated for best original score.

Best DLC = Maybe
Best RPG = I don't see any RP. Only G that stands for game. Role-playing was eaten by a reaper...probably.
Best Performance by a Human Female = Actually yes.
Best character = You can fight like a Krogan, Run like a lepard, but you will never be better than commander Shepard <plays music>

GOTY? Seriously?? No. But as for Best Character and Best Performance (Jennifer Hale), those I can agree with and I'd like to see. I did vote for Torchlight II for RPG of the Year.
But then we're talking about the Spike VGA's here, I find it to be more than likely that ME3 will win GOTY

I am all for Jennifer Hale but RPG of the year? DLC of the year? Not even close. Not that I even care though, I don't hold any sort of respect or interest towards VGA's. On a side note, aside from a few indie games, what a lacking year in games it has been.
