Assassins Creed 3? Mass Effect 3?
Dishonored, Journey and the Walking Dead!?

Are they serious!? Where is Max Payne 3, Sleeping Dogs, Hitman Absolution, Borderlands 2, & Halo 4!? The year isn't even over yet could add Far Cry 3 to that list.

This is a crap poll. Yeah probably the the first 2 Mass Effect, Assassins Creed deserve their nominations.. But both of them had a ****ty ending that everyone disliked. The other two one is an episodic DLC title and the other one was an Indi-DLC exclusive for the PS3.

What about the Studios of the year? Gearbox is the only one deserved of that award. Telltale made ****ty Jurassic Park: The Game plus 343 Studios and Arkane made only one game for the year. Halo 4 isn't even nominated for Game Of the Year. What about Ubisoft? They've released Assassins Creed and soon to come Far Cry 3.

Anyway nonetheless here are my picks.
GOTY: Dishonored.
Studio of the Year: Gearbox
360 Game of the Year: Halo 4.
PS3 Game of the Year: Max Payne 3 should be here, but I'll have to go with Assassins Creed
That's another thing i've never understood. Why are PS3 GOTY and 360 GOTY almost the exact same poll? Doesn't make sense, they both should be exclusive titles.
Wii/Wii U Game of the Year: ZombiU
PC Game of the Year: Diablo 3
Shooter Of the Year: Max Payne 3.
Action Adventure Of the Year: Dishonored.
RPG Of the Year: Mass Effect 3
MP Of the Year: Black Ops 2
Indiviual Sports Game: WWE 13
Team Sports Game: NBA 2K13
Driving Game: Need For Speed Most Wanted
Song In A Game: Tears by Health - Max Payne 3
Best Original Score: ME3 Has to be there, but since it's not I'll go with Max Payne 3
Best Graphics: Halo 4.
Best Indi: Journey
Best Fighter: Street Fighter X Tekken
Handheld Mobile Game: Super Mario Bros
Best Performance by Female: Gotta be Hale!
Best Performance by Male: James McCafferey
Best Adapted Video Game: The Walking Dead
Best DLC: Skyrim - Dawnguard
Best Downloadable: The Walking Dead.

GOTY is clearly The Walking Dead for me, the others are not even close (I did enjoy Dishonored, Spec Ops The Line, Assassin's Creed III and Borderlands 2, but nothing made me care like The Walking Dead).

I was ready to give Best Shooter to Spec Ops The Line and it's not even nominated... so sad.

Best RPG was truly a depressing category, had they included The Witcher 2 for Xbox things would have been much better.

Best Female performance went to Melissa Hutchison for me, mostly because she was able to deliver a believable child that I didn't hate (never happened before in a videogame). I liked Jennifer Hale as always, but we know that she's good.
Interesting choice about Emma Stone... she's in the game for like 15 minutes with no particular dept to her character...

I enjoyed Levi, because it gave me the feel of exploration. It was to short though, and the awesome underwaterpart was to limited...  Lets see if bioware follows that path,

Eh I only give Jennifer Hale for her performance in Mass Effect 3, but everything else no. Mass Effect 3 is unworthy of any other rewards. It's a substandard low quality product compare to it's predecessors. And I don't reward people for churning out garbage and expect me to recognize it as art.

What makes no sense is that ME3 is up for GOTY but not "Best 360 Game". So (hypothetically) it's the best game of the year, but not a top 5 360 game?

Spike's VGA is a farce...its just an excuse for celebs to show up on a red carpet.

That being said, I do hope Jennifer Hale gets her recognition for doing a damn fine job as VA for femshep. Its unfortunate Mark Meer didnt get nominated for the male counterpart.

Honestly, I went with the Walking Dead in each of the categories it was nominated. What a truly phenomenal game. Sorry Hale, but Clementine's VO was wonderful.

The Walking Dead wins it for me. Don't even think ME3 should be on the list, despite being a good (but not great) game.

ME3 is also nominated for Best DLC (Leviathan), Best RPG, Best Performance by a Human Female (Jennifer Hale) & Best Character (Commander Shepard; this category is fan-voted)

Finally!: a nomination that I can get behind.

They turned our avatar into a dolt in ME3 so, I'm less than ecstatic about Shepard being nominated for Best Character.

So why did Skyrim win last year?

Because it was video-gamey.

And broken.

And unbalanced.

And lore-breaking.

You know, complaints I hear a lot around these forums. Granted I don't expect people to be major skyrim fans to know such things either, but on a whole generalized statements like above make me scratch my head because in the end groups of people seem to give the pass on some things, but bash others because of varying degrees of personal criteria.

It will be a strange feeling if Mass Effect 3 wins the title.

It was a well crafted game and definetly deserved it up until the final minutes, and then it outraged a large segment of it's fanbase that never wants to play a Mass Effect game ever again.

I guess it's 'the journey' versus the 'cohesive story'.

Hey, genius, one crappy game by Telltale only shows that they managed to recover and learn from the failure of Jurassic Park. They clearly upped their game, and the Walking Dead was one of the best experiences I've had this year. It definitely deserves nomination for the excellent storytelling and the believable, realistic characters.

I loved Max Payne 3 and thought it was great, but I don't exactly have a bee in my bonnet over it not being nominated. Sheesh.

I want the Walking Dead to Beat ME3. I want Bioware to see people want a good story over a a focus on the action.
