Until this thread, I didn't even know there is a walking dead game. I did not play many games, so I am not the best judge, but ME3 deserve at least top 5 games of the year.

Borderlands 2 provide the best production value (Diablo 3 the opposite).

I never use femshep until ME3, & thanks to Bioware, I can't get to hear the voce acting of Jeniffer Hale.

The xbox version in Germany deosn't have English voiceover options.

@Grimlock: Best RPG? LMAO.

@Thread: List of released and to-be-released games in 2012. http://en.wikipedia....in_video_gaming

My vote for GotY would be Xcom: Enemy Unknown or Spec Ops: The Line (single player, not the filth that is MP). Best RPG? Kingdoms of Amalur : Reckoning or Dishonored. Those are the better true RPG's, since Mass Effect 2 it is no longer a 'RPG with shooting', but 'a shooter with RPG elements'

I want the Walking Dead to Beat ME3. I want Bioware to see people want a good story over a a focus on the action.

So you thought the entire story of Mass Effect 3 was bad?

Mass effect 3 should get no awards at all. Zero.

Its so called poularity was all hype - all lies. The writing sucked - the story sucked. Sure - there were some moments in there that were amazing. Some of the character interactions were amazing, wonderful, and heart touching. However, the 'broad brush' and overall general storyline destroy all of the good that ME3 could have been - much like the atrocious ending.

Given the fact that Bioware tried to give us better endings gives them much credit. However, they should have worked on a DLC to truly fix the endings that is more in line with what fans wanted. They lost a lot of respect when they pulled that jazz - for I truly believe they only want the cash and do not care about the story, the characters, or the fans.

The only people I see who deserve awards for ME3 are the voice actors. Even at that - only the ones who were in ME1 and 2. Bioware coudn't even keep that the same - like Mordin Solus. Its liek Bioware stopped caring about the game at all.

Or maybe I did - I'm not sure.

I'm guessing Halo wasn;t nominated because it's just for the xbox. They usually go for the mulit-platformers.

Dishonored is no more an RPG than God of War.

Are you sure your talking about the same game we are?  ME3 did a fantastic job of resolving the Geth/Quarian, Krogan/Genophage storylines, not to mention Udina, Reaper origin story, Omega ( thanks for the great DLC Bioware ).

Some people here sound like ME3 is as bad as Duke Dukem or something. Seriously.

Some are certainly over-exaggerating. Mass Effect 3 is an average to above average game, with a sloppy story but genuinely entertaining for the most part. Frankly, I would dub it "bi-polar." You have moments of excellence but when it fails, wow. What brings it down for most people is the auto-dialogue, dream nonsense and etc.

Duke Nukem on the other hand is an absolute abomination that has no business being mentioned as a game.

Nah, that's ME2. ANyways ME3 while a good game is simply not worth GOTY for many reasons beyond the ending. ME2 character treatment, romances but Liara, Kaidan and Garrus getting shafted or bad content, the weapon bug in cut scenes, the final mission being lackluster, some major choices from ME and ME2 being useless.

It's a good game, but compared to AC3 and Walking Dead? No way does it deserve to win. I also don't think it should be on that list as both Borderlands 2 and Halo 4 where better products. That's just my opinion of course.

I'm still rooting for ME3 but this tends to be more of a popularity contest more than anything close to a legitimate award. Also I hope Jennifer gets to win her category. Although it was tough with the Cortana VA there.

At best, I would vote best character.  Funny enough, Commander Shepard is powered by us, the players, so in a weird way, we are nominating ourselves.  Leviathan was pretty good for DLC, ill give it that, but game of the year?  There's honestly not enough voting options here.

You can download it from xBox live.

In my opinion ME3 deserves the GotY award. Yeah, there wasn't much freedom as in ME1, yeah the ending wasn't ME-worthy. But still, I am not that bitter about it, because I enjoyed the game immensely. It was dramatic, emotional, the war and chaos was illustrated in a great way, better than in many games I've played before, the gameplay was better then in ME1 and ME2, the biotics looked awesome, no annoying planet grinding for ressources, no bumpy Mako ride. The missions were fun and diversified (Tuchanka and Rannoch were freaking awesome), the decisions you made in the game were epic ones (yes, you didn't have that much choices to choose from but still)...
ME3 in itself was an epic conclusion to an epic series. I've played games way worse, I've seen worse endings.
Yeah, there were some promises made and not kept, but that wasn't a first and sure as hell won't be a last.
So, why all this exaggarated bitternes? Why being so whiney about it?
I voted ME3 for GotY, as a thank you to BioWare for creating this epic series. ME3 was for me the best in the series, because I see it as a whole and not as an ending and/or as a few promises not being kept.

...I needed to get that out.

Duke Nukem (3D,not Forever) is better than ME3. At least it doesn't pretend it exists to do anything else than give you an excuse to run around saving chicks and shooting aliens.

The only worthy award this game is up for is Best Female voice actor. Jennifer Hale was amazing as Commander Shepard's voice talent. Other than that, two thumbs down.
