Has domestic violence been tackled in any of Bioware's games?  I don't remember any in DA:O or DA2, but my memory of DA2 is fuzzy since I only played it once.

Is that something people would find interesting in DA3 (handled tactfully)?

I am trying to think of what value that would add to the game. I guess it would be an interesting commentary if done right, but it's also a hot topic that would potentially ****** off a lot of people depending on how it's handled.
