Hi,

I have one question.
Since the wii version of the game is coming this month after about 7 months of playing other version. It is going to be possible to transfer one of your older accounts to the wii U?
I don't know if manifest are shared already between platforms.

From a business stand point think that this is a good idea for boosting ME3 wuu sales, since nobody who have sinked 400+ hours in another version is going to start over again even if results to be the ultimate version of the game, you will also populate the system with people well equiped so they can help the new people to complete missions. just remember how you had to buff the factions to match the average player after they started to max rare weapons.

Not so far it isn't. You've never been able to transfer manifests from one platform to another unfortunately. I wouldn't mind getting the PC version to take advantage of all the single player mods people make but I won't do that at the expense of my manifest.

I think he means that some small portion of the fanbase will spend real life money to get their manifest up quick when switching platforms and that monetary gain supercedes the good will they would get from other gamers by switching over their manifests.

ppl who have sunk more than 300+ hours are likely not going to buy another platform just to have a copy of there manifest on another platform, and even if manifests where transferable...whats the point of having 2 platforms with 2 of the same manifest when you can reduce it back to 1 and stick with just the one platform.

BW is also not  responsible in helping nintendo sell there consoles....thats nintendo's scope.

I don't think anyone sane who have spent money in a console is going to spend money again to buy exactly the same stuff, so they end losing the benefits from the 50€ new copy of the wii u version.

Transferring between different platforms is not going to happen.
It's well known that when you buy something on a console with real money the person who owns that platform gets a cut of it.

If transferring was something that was done wide scale would that company also deserve a cut of it? What about the original company do they deserve to lose that cut because technically that content is no longer on their platform?

I was talking about the hypotesis of ME3Wuu being the definitive version of the game thanks to the improved capacity over regular consoles and the touch controls. I would be only interesting if having it if I can save myself from playing 100+ hours before I get to unlock the stuff I want to use because right now, the item pool is huge.

If the wii u is not worth a buy, then nevermind but so far, they have delivered.

Why I fully support making Manifests universal across platforms (I made threads about this in February), I don't see it happening. I do however think that the way the items are spread throughout C, UC, R, and UR needs to be adjusted somewhat due to the fact that it will take an unrealistic amount of time for new players to possibly get the items/characters they want.

I realize this is off-topic, but speaking of which, do you happen to know the circumstances behind Microsoft agreeing to releasing Mass Effect on PlayStation 3 as part of the Trilogy package?

I understand then, but I'm puzzled.

This means that the manifest data is not owned by EA/Bioware like the servers we use to play the game?
I mean thar regular DLC requires a fee because the information is stored in the server and must be downloaded and that requires bandwitdh expenses from the platform holder. A manifest seems to be a much lower weight that regular data and could be transfered directly from EA servers...
I guess that if data is transfered from EA servers, then the platform holder is not incurring expenses.. this is not how challenges and conmendation packs works? or you must pay for each pack granted?

Anyways, this have been already answered, thanks you.

I wouldn't call that fact well known.  I've seen similar threads on this topic posted for eight months, and this is the first time I have seen a response to it. (Thanks by the wayImage IPB) I am still concerned about how the item pool scares away and could detract new players.  Considering that with both the Wii U's version and the trilogy's release on the PS3 have a potential to hopefully bring many more people to this super fun game, I hope that you guys are planning on a way to address it and make the item system a little more noob friendly.

The purchases are made through the store of the console, say Xbox Live Marketplace. I'm pretty sure theres a stipulation where purchases on that console are not transferred if they are able to be purchased from there. Say the wii was having a sale, and you bought all your items from there on the cheap. Microsoft loses.

It's business.

1. You've already invested at least some effort into the game on console A, but plan to abandon console A for console B.
2. Console B (Or in this case, Console B's predecessor) has somewhat of a reputation for being of a lower calibre gameplay-wise.

I'm sorry if my post offended (It's not often moving pictures offend people on the internet), but I am genuinely confused as to why you would leave either a PC, Xbox, or Playstation for the Wii U.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, for the moment. ME3 was a option until now.

Console B is not out yet, have not reputation yet, only speculation.

I can fully understand that you want to buy a Wii U and eventually play Mass Effect on it. It looks interesting and fun. Personally I will not buy one.
See it as a challenge, to start all new on another platform.
Here is a link to the start of INVADERONE's series of videos on starting on the PS3 as a noob:

Have fun!

Why not buy the Wii U, use it for Wii U games and keep playing ME3 on your current platform?

I think your avatar is funny, but a lot of us do play on multiple consoles.  I spend out 60/40 playing XBox over PS3 and I have a lot of PS3 friends.  We are wrapping up our BL2 playthroughs on PS3 and are looking for other games to play. But as the store is right now and as much as I love this game, I can't recommend this game for us as a group because the it could take us months to actually get the characters we want. On the XBox, where I have played since the demo, I think the store is fine as is.

I might be just a little jelly if they let transferring manifests to WiiU possible. I've been grinding ME3 MP for months on both PC and Xbox, painstakingly slowly building my manifest on both. So if I got a WiiU, then what? I could transfer both my manifests over? The logistics of making that possible alone are ridiculous, plus what Bryan J said about proprietary rights. Just ain't gonna happen.

only good thing bout playing mass effect Wii U is that the community gets to start all over together. Of course, the no-lifers will probably have their manifest maxed pronto while the casual guys will take forever to get caught up. Especially if you cant remove the extra dlcs, buy what you really want from store, and reinstall them if you follow what I am saying

eidt- Bioware should rethink their strategy for next ME4. Take a look at games with really great stores that doesnt troll you like League of Legends. You buy what you want. And those devs make a killing
