Why not a Lore forum?

I support a Dragon Age lore in general forum. In fact, I think BSN could really benefit with one.

Personally, I hope they don't start opening up sub-forums. The poulation on the BioWare forums isn't that large, and if they have different forums for all the different parts of the game it's just going to split the community up and make it seem even smaller with threads moving at a snails pace. Can't all lore talk just go in the general forums, like it pretty much is already.

What exactly IS lore? Sorry for the 'noob' reply, I've heard of this word so many times and have subconsciously made my own definition for it whether it be correct or not. Can anyone explain it a little?

Because no one would ever post on it. They would have their lore questions/debates and still post them in the "whatever is the latest game in series" general discussion forum.

What I mean by this is pretty much what I mentioned in the first post. Proper names for Qunari, what the Litany of Adralla actually does, the Tranquil, the oddity that is Sandal, ect. In other words, the history of Thedas, the Wardens, the Chantry, and stuff that happens in the DA universe but isn't specific to a particular game. There are a lot of things I'd consider to be "lore" that is specific, like the Enigma of Kirkwall codex entries. You don't actually do anything with these entries, they just provide some historical context to the city.wesam987 wrote...

Probably be better to just call it "Dragon Age Series", as opposed to just Lore, that way it encompasses everything "Dragon Age" that is not directly tied to one of the games. But yeah, I'm on board with this.

just adding my own thumbs-up to this idea.
i get reeeeealy tired of having to skip over to the wiki any time i need a lore question answered. and it might clear up some of those insane tangents people get into in the other forums as well. it's starting to get on my nerves when i jump into a gameplay forum and find twelve pages of three people embroiled in a lore debate instead of discussion on the original topic.

So it's basically the entire world of the game and why everything happens the way it does including it's history and secrets?

The problem with the wiki is that the people who determine the lore don't edit it to correct mistakes. If there was a forum then at least they could respond to some of the questions and clear things up "officially".
