If they would have listed the Mass Effect Trilogy instead of just Mass Effect 3, it's a shoo-in for best game because the games as a trilogy make up a larger single game in essence.

ME3 was plagued with technical issues at launch and still have shortcomings now.

ME1 and 2 carry the series honestly. Still a neat list!

I am assuming that is overlooking ME1's massive technical shortcomings.

I am assuming that is overlooking ME1's massive technical shortcomings.

ME1's weren't as immersion breaking as ME3's. The digital acting and lip syncing were spot on in ME1. Also not being able to import your custom ME1 shepard into ME3 initially was hard as well as the famous galaxy map bug for PC if you rebound your R-Mouse button. 

ME1 suffered from difficult combat mechanics but not necessarily broken ones.

Wait...wait...Thief is at 62 percent no? Thief? As in, the game that sold so well it got three sequels and was able to carry the team that developed it into all but creating their own studio after leaving the previous one?

Thief? Really?

And Demon Souls 60 percent no?

WtF is this bull****???? Demon Souls?! The game is one of the best hardcore RPG's out there in recent years, not to mention that Dark Souls all but eliminated the Gameplay mechanic kinks that needed to be worked out.

ME3 is far too high on that list, even if you like the game to bits. It wasn't even the best in the trilogy, so why the hell is it above so many greater titles?

That's roughly 15,000 votes for Mass Effect 3. This game sold 4.2 million copies on all platforms as of recently. So 15,000 votes isn't saying much.

It would appear the list is somewhat based on sales and cultural impact. While some people mention specific great games that were left off, they didn't have the impact in the opinion of the pabel that decided on what made the cut.

If they made their criterion clear then there is no room to complain.

imo every game apart from Me3 in that list is better.  And there are many games not on the list which i could add that are better.
