It's an unfair matchup. The only fair match-up with Master Chief is Commander Shepard because they are as far as I know the only two people to ever survive atmospheric re-entry at high speed.

When one loses their commanding officer and friend, has no proof to back up the Reaper threat, and watched as his commander was completely shut down by the Council, I don't blame him. Garrus, unlike Master Chief, has flaws. And that's why I think he's better.
