I question what they people see in Garrus. All I see is an incompetent solider who can't follow orders and is too lazy to be his own man, even in ME3. He has character development in every game only to lose it in the next game and he adds nothing to the plot........ ever.

I guess being a kiss ass to the PC and making corny jokes is enough to be "Badass" and "Awesome".

What does that have to do with anything?
Is that suppose to be a point away from Chief and one added to Garrus?
Because Garrus' solution would be to shoot it with a Sniper rifle.

Neither of them would be able to do much against the other 'verse's god-tier opponents. Garrus just doesn't have what it takes to accomplish what chief did, and I have a feeling Chief would refuse and promptly get roflstomped by a reapers 400 gigaton molten metal gun.

Eh, Chief had to do it almost alone, Garrus has Shepard, who hasalmost as  luck as the Chief, so if Chief had the ME team, many a reaper would be killed to death.

I used to think the exact same thing. I never was a huge fan of halo. Don't get me wrong I thought it was ok, and I bought each new game. But all I really did was play campaiogn, then play online for a bit, then sell it. I never really loved it and I definately didn't get it when people where all saying it was the best game of all time etc. But after Halo 4 I'm completely blown away. Master Chief is so much more of an interesting character then any of the other games. I can honestly say that I'm eagerly awaiting the next halo game now. Halo in my opinion is better now then it was ever before. And yes, I know someone out there probably wants to kill me for saying this but like i said, just my opinion.

Chief because Protagonist. Cheif because 7 foot tall, hyperlethal, expensiv ass armor, ai to show him turian weakpoints, SPARTAN. It's be better to ask Cheif vs Shepard. Garrus is in the league of neither of those three.<_<

They're not even in the same universe, so you have no basis in which to compare. If these were two characters created within the Halo verse, or Mass Effect Verse only - then you, you can start to think about comparasions. However, since it's not in the same universe, its not the same creators and there is no appropriate baseline for comparision - there's no real point in bothering.

Cheif and Shepard are essentially the same archetypes, being the hero, the last or first of some kind of combat division and the most fortunate - or just in right place at the right time. But those are common to all Messiah/PC archetypes.

That being said, in the Mass Effect universe, Turians and Humans have roughly the same level of strength in prime condition, so - yeah. Cheif would win. Even if Garrus uses overload on the Mjolnir armor, Chief is strong enough to move without it, and as Teenager, he was able to bend and destroy powered exoskeletons with his bare fists, I don't think Garrus would stand a chance against that kind of rare physical power.
