It really depends on what is it going to be like. If they're going to be forced to make it part multiplayer they should just make only one map but go all out and make it this extreamly epic and massive map with the following featcures:
- 8 to 16 man PVP
-40 NPCs on opposing sides that fight along side with the players
-Team Fortresses and Towers that can be destroyed
-Seige vehicles
-A battle system similar to Star Wars Battlefront with command posts to respond in and a number countdown that goes down when a player or an NPC dies
-Winners would unlock advance weapons, crafts and armor that can be transfer back to forth with the main game and XP for their multiplayer character
-The loseing team gets a small XP and
These things would make me want to play Multiplayer as soon the game comes out. It'll almost be like Lord of the Rings sort of fitting because the Mage vs Templar war will be taking place.
Also Dragons... LOTS of Dragons:)
[poll] Will you play the DA3 multiplayer

I'll certainly give it a try, especially since I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun the multiplayer was in Mass Effect 3.

No, I don't generally enjoy Multiplayer. I might be tempted to check it out, but the chances of me actually spending time there are next to none.

We'll see. If DA3 combat is anything like DA2, then no.

I won't

No. MP should not even be in DA. It is a SP RPG that is YOUR story not you and your friend. Yours. Any form of MP takes away from SP which is the primary focus of the game. Bioware does not need to hop on the MP band wagon. It is fine the way it is. If I want MP I'll play a MP game with MP as the focus not when it is tact on.

Only way I'll play multiplayer is co-op with my brother. If the game requires multiplayer to get a good singleplayer experience like ME3 stupidly did, and I can't mod that nonsense away (like I did with ME3), I probably won't get the game.

Nope. I'm not interested in playing with other people. If I'm feeling social or wish human interaction, I go seek it in the real world.
I'll be watching for any info about the MP in Dragon Age 3. If it in any way impacts the single player campaign (a la ME3) in any form or fashion, no sale.

I'm inclined to say no, but I'll probably check it out anyway just to see what It's about.
I won't play it, however, because I hate multiplayer, and I don't want to see the DA series single player game messed up.

Not a chance. And it really bugs me that every single player rpg these days has to at least consider having multiplayer or even worse, being an MMO.

I'll check it out. I don't expect to be dragged into it, but I'm curious about what narrative justification they give.

No.
Co-Op? ..Sure, I'll give it a go.

Probably not. I hate how so many formerly single player only series try to force MP into them because they think they HAVE to have it in order to sell the game. Tomb Raider is one such example. It tried to force in this MP mode because they saw Uncharted did it pretty well but the controls ended up clunky and it just wasn't that fun (speaking of Tomb Raider).
I keep trying to think and outside of another Horde/Firefight mode I can't think of how MP will work for a Dragon Age game.
AND, if it does that annoying garbage that the ME3 MP did of affecting the single player story/game then I don't know if I'll get this game right away. I shouldn't be forced to play a MP mode I might have no interest in just to get the best story ending.
AND NO MP ACHIEVEMENTS!

If it's like DAOC used to be, yes, if it's like WoW, then no.
If it's a multiplayer like ME, then probably.

Focus on the SP, BW, you should have done that with ME3 too

I will almost certainly never touch any multiplayer components of the game. I don't mind if the game has a multiplayer component, as long as it's completely and utterly divorced from the single-player campaign, but I have absolutely no interest in MP.

Only if it's like NWN/NWN2.
Assuming I buy the game, that is.

I'm playing for it whether I play it or not. Given that I enjoy the ME 3 MP, it would be a bit silly not to at least try.
I ended up liking the MP much more than the SP on ME3 and I was super super AGAINST the very IDEA of a ME MP. Now it's all I play, that is until DA3 comes out. Played all the DA stuff, loved it, even the much maligned 2, even though, yes, the repetitive environments got to be a bit old.

pve? perhaps. me3 is good with its mp. even if it's horde, full of bugs, exploits and other crap. rather fun.
besides what do they need for it? maps and combat system? fine that means sp combat system will be decent as well.

No. for me games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect are single player experience, if I want to play multiplayer I will probably play games like Call of Duty or Battleflield 3.

Dear Maker please NO. I don't even want it in the game. Since they are so set on DLC, make MP a pay for DLC,
