Was ME3 multiplayer that bad? And besides, i'm pretty sure the developers won't force us to do things a good majority [reference to the poll] do not wish to partake in. If it's in the game then that's all right, you don't have to play multiplayer. To say no just because multiplayer may be there is a bit childish. There is no need to feel as though it destroys the game (unless the focus is towards multiplayer and no longer single player - which i doubt)
ME3's MP, on paper, is terrible.
One Horde mode with no deviation in play type. Forced to play it to obtain all Single Player content for the first 3/4 months it was out. Included microtransactions.
Not to mention there are a not-insignificant amount of people who didn't just dislike the ME3 SP... they LOATHED it. For people to love a series and then have their entire experience of the trilogy soured in such a abrupt, drastic way over the course of one game is, on some levels, impressive. That they could botch how people feel about an entire series of products in one game (or, more accurately in many cases, ten minutes of said game), is a different level of failure than we've seen from most of the gaming industry. Certainly from Bioware.
So when you see that level of dissatisfaction by some players who were previously hardcore devoted followers, and you then notice that this was the first game with a MP component, it becomes inevitable that correlations and connections are drawn.
No one can really prove there feelings are true (or false), but that doesn't really matter. A big chunk of people protested ME3's MP vehemently, stating it would lead to the SP portion of the game suffering. Every person who made that argument likely had plenty of fuel to add to the fire of such arguments based on how negatively many people received ME3 when it came out last year.
So I wouldn't call it childish. I would probably call it a knee-jerk, risk-aversion reaction based on the only evidence we've seen so far.

I'm quite glad to receive an eye-opener such as the one you gave me.
I was under the impression it was not quite popular but I didn't realize the multiplayer was that much hated.
Hopefully there may be some variation in the future if multiplayer is indeed developed. Ah well, only time will tell.

I never actually played it myself. And I have heard it is actually quite enjoyable for both people who were new to MP or vets of it.
But, again, there was a lot of push back from having it in the game from the very start (originally, Bioware had stated about a year before it was slated to come out that it would definitely not have MP). And while the blame foir how ME3 was received could be put at a lot of different places, MP is definitely a common culprit. Whether or not that is true is almost irrelevant... because it is what many people THINK is true... which makes it the reality Bioware has to operate in.
That's likley why you have the results of this poll in the OP showing the "No's" nearly outweighing the "Yes's" or "Maybe's" nearly 2 to 1. Or, at least, a strong factor in those results.

I'd honestly have to see actual gameplay before condemning as so many on this forum are quick to do. If its another Horde mode rehash then probably not but if it actually an innovate coop mode then I'd gladly enjoy it

Says the guy who doesn't have ME3 registered to his account and can't post on said forums...?

Absolutely, lots of people still playing the MP part. Hell, it's the only reason ME3 was installed on my computer for a year. Played the campaign first all the way through, moved right to the MP and never touched the campaign again. Hoping the DA3 MP is really good!

I'll take a weaker / lesser ending for DA:I to avoid wasting time on gameplay I don't enjoy and don't want to participate in.
Short answer - no.

uhm... maybe for a short time... but I tend to get really bored by playing MP... it's just always the same again and again.
Same here I liked ME3's multiplayer for 2 months and stopped bothering with it after that, probably gonna be the same with DA:I unless it really surprises me.
