Hi, Orochi Here. New to posting here but not new to the forums or being a forum user. I have been lurking ever since buying this game and I have finally decided to post.
My post is in regards to cool downs and how they work. Now I know how they work when you use a power all powers are negated until the cool down of used power is finished. I understand why this is done. It adds a more tatical gameplay element. Now while there is way to create beautiful synergy with certain kits. I feel some kits feel more lackluster because of the lack of individual cool downs. Now before you attack or say it's always been like this or will forever stay like this. I'm not really demanding change I love Mass Effect MP. It's the only reason I purchased ME 3 ... The Demo got me =). Back on topic, I feel like the kits everyone feels are lackluster would gravely improve. And certain powers would not need revamp and could possibly feel more balanced.
For example the most recent. Vorcha Hunter
Imagine if Submission Net had a seperate cool down from Flamer.
Now no I am not saying have the ability to use them at the same time. Of course powers should at least have to wait for animation or flamer should be turned off b4 firing Submission Net but think of the synergy. You can activate Bloodlust. Head out see a group deploy Sub Net. Once Animation finishes Activate Flamer. Sub Net cool downed. Turn your flamer off re activate Sub Net. Activate flamer again. Now that sounds like a Vorcha Hunter to me
I guess I just feel with Quarian Marksman on the rise it will change his tactical situational approach to a more power swapping gun fest.
I'm sorry for wall of text just sharing an opinion. I'm down to discuss and also wondering if anyone shares my idea or something similar

Your essentially asking for ME1.

ME1 had individual power CDs. It made powers ridiculously OP.

I know nothing of previous Mass Effect Games. ME 3 is my first ME and I only play Multiplayer but if you guys say so then I guess I am.
I also don't believe it would be too OP. It's not like enemies stay still while this is happening. I think it just would improve Power Using in general. Of course certain moves would have limitations such as TC and similar powers.

Mind you each power had a long cooldown (approx 40 seconds) but yeah Adepts were pretty OP.
I loved how Vanguards could reset their cooldown timers. So spam all powers, pop Adrenaline Burst, and your good to go

I just used to cycle throught. Lift, then Throw, then Stasis, then Lift etc.
Nothing like making your final boss a cakewalk on insanity by constantly keeping him locked down

Well certain mobs can't even be affected by certain powers therefore not making it OP

ME gameplay is about mixing up gunplay with casting / using special abilities. The global cooldown system is the best way to accomplish this.

Seperated CD time?
Sounds like a good idea. But the problem comes as
"Why borther to have a gun?"

You guys make it seem as every class is a biotic or tech power house ... Or if every power affects every enemy
Powers such as pull stasis ... And other crowd control targets don't stun the bigger enemies or bosses
Guns can still be out in the works. It's about what you prefer. Again this isn't a demand and I know for a fact it wouldn't happen.
I spoke to my friend on the subject the only real gripe we came up with is gun weight vs the cd times. Such as having a heavier gun and still being able to power combo as fast.
Anyways I feel like the game would have more diversity and really give all classes a chance at being equal if balance is done right but that's just me
