"Practically every aspect" is a fair exaggeration considering all the things that literally didn't change (and I feel the things that did change are also debatable, in some cases). Aside from that, listening to feedback doesn't mean doing everything the person giving feedback wants, even if you want to claim that "they just want more DAO." They heard feedback that a lot of the features were bad, and in their view in some cases it is because they strayed too far from Origins (hence the parts where he mentioned 'meeting in the middle' that you seem to ignore), but in some cases it's because they feel the concept has potential that DA2 simply didn't live up to. Or that maybe some people didn't like it, but it's something they're sticking with anyway because that's the vision they have for the series (which still doesn't mean they're "not listening"). So in those cases they will iterate on, and if necessary attempt to improve the feature, rather than go back to how it was in Origins.Robhuzz wrote...
I guess so. The general feedback on DA2 was that it was worse than DAO in practically every aspect, which I fully agree with. Now they're iterating on things from DA2 according to that very same feedback? Alright...
Also from the numbers I saw, DA2 sold about half the copies that DAO sold. Not sure it's wise to iterate on anything from DA2 tbh:pinched:
Wary of getting into a sales numbers debate again but they say a lot less than people like to think they do. They could just as well be a result of the story and new features in general being a rushed mess and of poor quality accordingly, rather than the features being inherently poor in quality.
