That will be a difficult task since many people like to play a different character and adding a voice to it is one of the things that might break it pretty badly. On the other hand, I know that there are people who hate the "mute and expressionless protagonist with no character" (I couldn't disagree more, but will not argue about that here) and could appreciate the effort.
If I were to pick a voice, I would go for cocky. cocky characters are fun to play. The problem would be in how to make the voice cocky but not annoying, which might happen with such a character. I might also like a sweet Warden. That might fit well. People tend to play good characters rather often, if I'm not mistaken.
Personally, I love characters that speak properly and have a rich vocabulary. On the other hand, I doubt everyone likes it when their character speaks like a book and it may not even fit to, let's say, dwarven commoner.
The difficult thing about adding a voice to a character is that by doing so you will probably add personality to the character, as well. Some people, including myself, don't take that well. Each of my Wardens has a different personality and their voice corresponds with that, therefore each of my characters has a different voice in my head. Moreover, I think that, even though your personality might be mostly cocky or sweet or mean, you don't always sound the same. More versions of the voice might be useful, but I imagine that voicing the Warden once alone must be a monumental task. Yet another thing is that you have to be prepared that no matter how hard you try, you won't please everyone. There will always be grumpy bastards like me who won't appreciate the work. If you decide to go for the mean Warden, people who might like a nice Warden will be unhappy. If you decide to go for the sweet Warden, people who might like a mean Warden will be unhappy.
What I would definitely not want to see again is another system based on paraphrases. On the second thought, some people dislike reading the whole line and then hearing it again after picking it. Personally, I hate paraphrasing with passion, but maybe if the hints as to what our character is going to say were clearer... Anyway, if you are going to keep the original lines, I wouldn't add anything that's not already there because the player might interpret it much differently than you would and then be surprised or frustrated to get a response they didn't intend to pick.
With all that said, I admire you for what you're trying to do and wish you luck. Hopefully you will find some sort of middle ground and, most importantly, will have fun in the process.
