Beat my first platinum last night! STOKED! Didn't do it alone, had a great team last night.

It was fun. Let me know anytime, you're up for it again.

Indeed. I am going to attempt to solo Reapers, Unknown, Platinum after I get off of work with either my Turian Sentinel, or my Asari Vanguard for practice. After seeing your performance yeterday with the  Drell Vanguard, I may also try him since he can This will force me to use cover much more frequently which I really need to do anyway at least I won't have any choice if there is any remote chance of survival. I'm not really expecting to make it all the way to extraction, but I'm going to give it my best shot using the least amount of packs and missles as possible. Solo-ing Gold wasn't too bad; however Platinum is a completely different animal. Just have to keep moving, stay in cover, kite the enemy, and be smart about each movement. Hopefully it will show up on my manifest as completed later this evening. If by some strange stoke of luck I complete it I will post final results on here. Also, I am going to start to wean myself off of amps and mods and make me a better player. The gear slot itself I wont change, only consumables. It should be intersting needless to say.

Bino was the drellguard. I use the drellguard on Cerberus a lot on Gold and he is pretty effective. On platinum, there is just too many things with sync kill and you have to charge so much to keep him up. There are people that can use him and I can scrap by for a while but it's playing with fire.

As for soloing on platinum, I would recommend Ghost personally because a lot of elites get jammed at the back of the map allowing you to get some cheap shots in. You can also jam them up on the ladder on Giant across from the LZ which gives some breathing room. Personally reccommend saving the rockets for dealing with the primes. They are a pain, stunlock plus other enemies with synckills equal death.

Oops, that's right. Thank you. Fixed. Image IPBI was definitely considering Giant as well beings I have completed a Solo Gold on that board. I need to learn to adapt to the situation though. That's kinda why I'm leaning towards an Unknown battlefield. I agree 100% on the sync kill enemies for sure. I chose the Asari or the Drell because they are softer and riskier than many other characters and that will force me to stay in cover and choose targets more wisely. I had trouble with that a good bit yesterday. Even if I survive until the second objective wave, I will probably learn a few things. I appreciate the advice! The primes were witout a doubt a really big problem in RIO. I will have to move from cover to cover very, very quickly and precisely to avoid that. That is where the Drell and Asari both shine; on the other hand, they dodge so quick that if I don't pay attention to spawns and my surroundings I could end of in a worse position tactically then before.

Didn't read, but since you dedicated writing a novel to an experience that isn't all that uncommon, I suppose you are pissing rainbows of delight. Cool. Hope you enjoyed the ride.

Necro: Update.

I just went back and re-read my write up and, wow, so much has happened since this.

I went from being a fledgling, struggling in Gold to a S.P.E.C.T.R.E. who regularly runs Platinum and solo's gold. My N7 is almost 11,000 now and I'm on the cusp of 45,000 challenge points. Met some great players and I've made some even better friends. What a wild ride it has been. It is so strange how I just realized I am now that Engineer N7/]10,600 that I met 5 months ago and he is now a N7/]18,000.

It is wierd how things work like that. I have done and seen some amazing things since that game.
-I have recieved a Melee Killstreak with my GI
-I have witnessed a Javelin Kilstreak, wave one first shot of the match ( NuclearTech76 )
-Ran Gold Speed Runs on Multiple Maps, and Platinum Speed runs on others
-Duo'ed Platinum
-I'm almost capable of Solo-ing Platinum, a feat I once deemed physically impossible
-The list goes on and on...

Enough of me babbling, just cool to reflect back... I'm sure there are others that feel the same,

Confirm or Deny: you expected a Bel-Air or Bear ending.
