I'm not even dreaming of a perfect ending. Perfection is a false light, luring the grasping onto treacherous ground. I'd be content with a MEHEM.

Mine would be that they could say not to the star child and actually 'win' the war against the reapers. Not without great looses and a lot of rebuilding needed afterwards - but still win. Just enough for the species to all survive. That Shep and her LI survive and help with the rebuilding of earth etc as well as go on to do more missions and such. My Sheps LI was Kaidan, they are both alliance so protecting the galaxy is what they do.

Here's just a list of my ideas:

-Destroy Reapers without sacrificing geth and EDI
-Skydive off of Crucible right before it explodes
-Flip the finger towards Harbinger while decending to Earth
-Watching a bunch of my war assests fight down on Earth
-Romance/Chilling with Garrus on the beach afterwards sippin' on the The Illusive Man's brandy

gabby: "he is a spychotic megalomaniac and you've got problems with his choice of liquor?"
ken: "you've obviously never experienced the peat aroma of a fine islay scotch."

i would not drink it or wash my feet with that (tims) stuff ... the rest is cool ... go try out mehem.

The Synthesis extended cut ending was pretty perfect for my main Shepard. Sacrificing himself felt pretty appropriate really especially to be able to achieve synthesis so the Geth and Quarians could live in peace on Rannoch, EDI can live and Tali would be able to live on Rannoch without her helmet (my Shepard had Tali as a romance option). It would have been nice to have Shepard survive Synthesis and live on Rannoch with Tali but it wouldn't make sense as he sacrificed himself and I don't mind that too much really since it isn't always a happy ending for everyone, but with Synthesis (forget what people say about indoctrination or that the Catalyst (and EDI) are lying about it crap that people here make up to make Destroy seem like the best ending) I think it is the best ending for my Shepard's story as everyone can live in peace, everyone is still unique but united as a galaxy. That sounds cheesy as hell but you get what I mean.

Shot the tube and lived. What more could he ask for? Maybe stand a bit further back next time though...

Don't worry, ZacTB. My Shepard will build the house yours could not. *bows*

Paragon Control is good enough. Add in a scene of a robotic Shepard avatar stepping into a room to have a party with the crewmates and we're in business.

Bite me

But seriously, I would have chosen Destroy if it didn't kill EDI and the Geth as well, and I guess that means Quarians still have to live with their helmets? That's what I gathered anyway, and I like the idea of the Quarians and Geth together on Rannoch anyway. Plus EDI is a great character I think. But yeah I kind of hope that after they have rebuilt the galaxy in Synthesis, the Reapers and Indoctrinated Species kind of go away, maybe in their own system or something.

Edit: And the creepy green eyes fade away after a while, which I am sure would happen.

I wanted to ask a Controller... I had a theory about that.

Geth have Reaper code. EDI has Reaper code. If Shepard controls the Reapers, does Shepard control them? Through EDI, is Shepard technically attending his/her own memorial, LITERALLY watching those left behind?

EDIT: Also, ZacTB, no offense intended. Hence my earlier edit to remove the emoticon.

Yes, lived for a few more excruciating seconds, before you continue to bleed profusely onto the cold concrete floor which is subsequently adding to the level of shock throughout your body. Not to mention the infections in your blood because Lord knows what kind of diseases the Catalyst had which your open wounds were exposed to. You then also feel the trauma of these previous wounds and the new blunt trauma suffered from the concrete slabs falling on top of you as you go into cardiac arrest from a lack of blood being circulated back into your heart.

In other words.. The 'best' ending.

Also I was wondering about Destroy, if it does destroy all synthetic life, wouldn't it kill Shepard since the synthetic parts that are keeping him alive from the Lazarus Project would be destroyed?

you should just clone a body for shepard from the skin flakes on his sheets and assume direct control. would be far less creepy and your li would not get bruises. Image IPB

If it destroyed cybernetics, every Quarian and every biotic with an amp in the galaxy would drop dead. That doesn't happen. Seems to me it only targets Reaper tech (which the Geth and EDI incorporate into themselves).
