How do I get my LIVE account to communicate with the social.bioware.com severs?

Ok I haven't a clue what I'm doing wrong.

My Xbox live account is recording all of my achievements for DA:O. My gamer tag is Auvyllia, which is under the same email as my ea account and my account here. The only problem I can see is that when I'm logged on to the EA site I have the option to add a persona. One of my choices being an existing Xbox Live Gamertag. So I try to add my own, Auvyllia.

And then of course I get this: "Sorry, that Xbox LIVE Gamertag has already been taken. Please try another one."

So I take it that means I registered my gamertag with a different EA account? Is there any way to to reverse this so I can register with this one? Then will this site record the achievements that are on my Live account?

This is really frustrating, you would think this could have been a lot simpler. Although the answer is probably right under my nose.

Have you tried a search? I know there is a thread somewhere about it. And yes you are right about the whole account thing. I have so many different names and accounts for EA over the years I would like to try and delete them all and start again. I have mine linked but to be honest I don't even know how I did it, it was pure luck that it happened...

Well I found the EA account that's connected to my Gamertag....



So is there anyway to remove that persona? Or delete that old account?

Auvy, I had the same exact problem, and had to get my old and new accounts merged together. I first contacted EA customer support, and (*Surprise!*), they were of no help.



I then found the EA Sports Forum (where many people are having the same issue), and the forum administrator there understood the problem and within a day or two, he merged my accounts and I could claim all the preorder items and my gamertag was properly linked.

Then, either post your problem in the forum, or send the moderator, EA_Isledyr a pm describing your issue.
