This time through, I paid more attention to points that looked like they could be developed in expansion, and there were a lot of them.

-Eventually Alistair is called to the Warden Fortress, in my case swearing to return to his love soon. Seems a bit odd that the Warden doesn't go with him. I wonder why? It also doesn't say what happens when he gets there, or when and how he returns. This seems meaningful. If there are plans to continue with these characters, which the epilogue seems to imply, I was wondering how Alistair could be included if you chose to make him king, but no matter what you did with Alistair, short of killing him, he could be compelled to go to the wardens.

OT: bit of oddness in this that's part of the dialogue suiting numerous endings. It mentions that Alistair stayed in Denerim for a lime with his love before being called to the wardens making Queen Anora uncomfortable. Um, he's the king. Of course he's in Denerim, and one would expect her to be uncomfortable given that she lives in a tower under guard. ;)

-The continuing trouble in Orzamar. I think it's meaningful that there's no good ending there.

-Spread of powerful darkspawn to Orlais, etc.

-Morrigan and the child. What is her true purpose. Alistair makes a point of wondering what trouble that will cause.

Note: Last time it was mentioned that Conner became a powerful mage and went to Orlais. This time, there was no mention of him, exccept that he's lookiing at Eamon funny. I wonder what I did differently? If it's changable, it's probably not a future plot point, though.

There's also the disappearance of the urn, but I think that's more likely to be getting rid of a too powerful deus ex machina than something related to plot..

If you kill the High Dragon then the urn won't disappear, since no beast is there to guard it.  As far as your other points go, there is definitely some interesting room for further development and I'm hopeful for some continuation of the storyline here.  But most things in the epilogue do depend on the choices you made during the game.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS for the book "The Calling"

The only one that I have any real clue with is Alistair: it might have something to do with Fiona from "The Calling". That is about the only thing that would make sense in Alistair being called but not the hero of Ferelden.

I figured there might be some fallout from the ritual, that the wardens might not buy Alistair's act. He seemed sure that they would question him about it. If they demand his presence, it might be for an account of what happened. I'm assuming that they are questioning him, and not the warden, because he's senior. If they know what happened, it might not be good.

I don't know anything about the books. Who's Fiona?

Re: the Urn: Oh, right... I forgot you could kill the dragon and it would have an effect....

SPOILER for "The Calling":

Every indication is that she is Alistair's real mother. I can't remember if his name is ever used in the book, but it is quite clear when Fiona and Maric discuss having him raised away from court and told his mother was a human who died. She survives the book, so him being called away probably deals with this aspect.

Also, it would make sense that both Wardens would be called and not just one. That is another reason why I believe it to be more personal.

Ah, so the maid thing might be a lie....  Thanks for the info. I see your point, but I don't see that making a difference to whether the warden goes. Depending on how you play it (and unless you really burned your bridges with Alistair or had him killed), the warden is likely his best friend or lover/wife, so personal isn't necessarily an issue. That still seems odd, especially given that it's a thousand miles away-according to Alistair, anyway.

Heh, I assumed the favor was trying not to kill you when they invade. ;) Good point, though. They might very well go there. That would certainly be interesting. Alistair mentiond that Fereldan had treaties with them. Perhaps there will be an issue about that.
