Today marks the first time I actually destroyed a game. I threw it like a frisbee because it actually frustrated me that badly. It just kept spawning enemy after enemy for no apparent reason. On an obscure side quest, no less. It kept doing that spawning thing on almost every mission. I guess the people who made that game thought that is what constituted as difficulty. It was on normal. Putting 10 enemies in a small space, and then spawning 10 more enemies in that small space while the player is still fighting that enemy is just ridiculous. Thank goodness I only spent 10 dollars on it. I know it was a childish thing to do, but I just got caught in the heat of the moment.
Has this ever happened to any one else?
Has anyone ever actually gotten frustrated to the point where you use a disk as a frisbee?

Yup. With a soccer game, when I was like seven years old. Couldn't win against Real Madrid no matter which team I played as, which difficulty I chose... poor disk paid for it in the end, lol.

I threw NBA 2K12 like a frisbee against the wall a few months ago because it stopped working, which was frustrating. It shattered into a couple pieces.

Haven't ever played any game on a disc before.
I don't have a lot of space for storage of boxes, etc., and prefer to buy digital download copies from Steam, Origin (and EADM before that). I imagine the last game I bought that came in a box was probably published on 3.5" floppies or NES cartridge.
I suppose the digital equivalent of throwing your disc across the room is probably deleting the local files from your Steam library? Done that a few times ;-)

It's a good thing my Hard Reset copy is digital.

I know what you mean - I think I "rage uninstalled" that one. Great game, but I got stuck in one area with three gorillas in a courtyard and never finished it.

DA2. It was some side mission that involved some dwarves. I had to eliminate a big group of them while being flanked by freshly spawned dwarves. Once I finallly got past them I ran into a group of spiders and died. That was after like 12 attempts against those dwarves. So I ejected the game and threw it into the wall. I just went and got another copy though, I actually like the game but it frustrates the heck out of me sometimes, just like the original Dragon Age. The games pull some bullcrap.

In fact, I find myself in need of a coaster quite a bit lately... and there just so happens to be a copy of DA2 laying around doing nothing of use. Hmm...

If I lived further up north I would have used DA2 as ghetto firewood.

Haha, yes. I've done this once in my entire life. I did this to Prototype.
Enemies kept spawning even after I destroyed thousands(literally). I even nuked the map and destroyed about 50 tanks/apaches. I had to steal a tank for the mission but the annoying QTE sequence was so slow I couldn't finish it before thousands of enemies spawned again. They kept blowing me off the tank. I just gave up and slung it out my window. One of the worst games I've ever played...
I don't easily get frustrated either. I like playing games like Dark Souls/Demon's Souls and usually play on the highest difficulties. I'm very patient. That game drove me over the edge...

Nothing like that but I do remember a funny thing happening. My PS2 wrecked my copy of Driver 3 so I bought another copy that was cheap and my PS2 wrecked it as well. All other games worked just fine. I was pretty sure it was trying to send me as message, lol. And thanks playstation for saving me from experiences the crap that is Driver 3 ever again.

Yes, I lost a match as Finland versus Sweden in NHL 2000, I believe. The disk turned into a frisbee and broke into three pieces.
This was back in the day when the game was still new.

My first time playing mass effect. It was my first time coming in contact with bad rpg combat mechanics after playing gow and cod and I was 14. I couldn't get past edan primes geth ambush and thought the game just plain sucked, and so I threw it.
It took three years to buy a new copy and play it, and after my taste in games expanded a little I found the game to be absolutly awesome.
Other games I've done this for,
Prototype(my game was bugged, could not beat final boss after 3 hours of dodging and combat)
Force Unleashed(bad controls + glitchy physics and gameplay = out the window)
