So will 8,000 more points on Captains make you people think I'm awesome for having Collector General done twice? Seriously, they're the first to unlock if you do U/U/G. It's weird that people see it as better. Do most people just choose specific enemies?

Mass Effect, Lone Wolf, Squad Elite, in that order. They are proof that a player is skilled. The others don't really say much.

Yeah, collectors is faster, no doubt. Geth is easy too, this are the two enemy mastery that don't have a silver challenge that take longer to accomplish. Cerberus Guardian take too long (if you keep playing only u/u/g), and Reapers husks take too long.

Any of the faction masteries is good.
N7 day shows dedication, and Hallowed Hero shows a good sense of style.

I have no regular challenge banner (excluding the time limited special event challenges).

My aim is to be one medal short of completing each specific challenge.

And soloing Platinum isn't a guarantee that you won't have an off day, even if you are usually above average. Or that you won't have problems with latency.

To address the topic, I wish these sorts of threads would die.  Way too much extreme elitism.  But you got to put the bs in BSN somehow I guess.

To reitterate...it would take ME 2+ hours to solo Platinum...IF I could.
There are some (obviously) that can solo Plat, some with relative ease, and some not. I still respect those who do, either for their skill in being able to, or the patience to kite for long periods of time whiole still achieving the kill.

I can solo Gold, thats great, but it's only because I took the time to learn spawn points and get good loadouts.

The only challenge in my eyes that takes something OTHER than time, is Soloing Platinum (legitimently) that take dedication and will. It earns my respect.

N7 or none. Lone wolf takes skill yes but it is no guarantee they will be a good team player and help the team or use consumables. It just means playing for themselves they lasted 11 rounds on various levels.

N7 because they promoted 60 sets of characters and have at least experience to have done so or earned enough credits again indicating they know somewhat what they are doing and have played most of the classes.

Theoretically, you could still only be failing plenty of matches at waves 9 or 10, but yes.

Why? You must complete 25 Platinum matches to gain this banner. I still check loadouts of course and if it's not an ideal loadout I still give others chances. EX: N7 Fury using Typhoon I/X.

If they did fine with a build like that i'll more than likely stay with that group. If not, i'll usually leave.

I suppose.  I agree that except for Solo Mastery, all the others are essentially doable with time investment.  Even on high difficulty waves or extracts could be done by just showing up.

All I can say is  I was happy to get the Lone Wolf one because I had a banner fairly soon after the release, then I was happy to get Machinist because hardly anyone had that one... and then subsequently I was happy to get Nomad and Hardcore because I like the picture of the relay and the Normandy.

Any of these means they at least wont be a hindrance. Good enough for me. Really all the poo pooing on lone wolf is over the top. Anybody who has it will at least not be a giant liability. N7 Day or Halloween are negative flags. It usually means they havent played enough for any other banner.

Someone said that they'd still be checking out loadouts before judging the banner. I'd say the same about equipment. Seeing as I only really play Gold and Platinum now, what equipment someone uses in conjunction with their class/loadout says alot, IMO.
