N7 or none. Lone wolf takes skill yes but it is no guarantee they will be a good team player and help the team or use consumables. It just means playing for themselves they lasted 11 rounds on various levels.

N7 because they promoted 60 sets of characters and have at least experience to have done so or earned enough credits again indicating they know somewhat what they are doing and have played most of the classes.

That means you still only take N7 rank into account. I think that is not a wise choice.

Its basically taking a gamble everytime you fire-up/jump-in to a PUG. You need to weigh all available information and decide if its worth your time.

I typically search for UUG and cycle through several lobbies til I find a decent looking one. Theres always risk tho. I ran into an all-star looking gold lobby the other day... lets just say I was killed by an unseen grenade, insta-stomped, and watched everyone else rambo-flail and die within one minute. ON WAVE 1. I laughed for sure.

Agreed. You can promote constantly just by playing Bronze over and over. Nomad requires at least 10 gold games on each non-hazard map and 20 on any difficulty and any hazard map, or 10 platinum games on at least 10 maps. Minimum 100 maps, and you can't use the same n00b setup over and over.

I'm not a Platinum player, but I'd like to think that being able to complete 10 gold games on each map should imply that I have experience with the higher difficulties. Conversely, my N7 ranking (2,696) says that I've promoted, at minimum, 86 times, and releveled a bit. Trying to infer more from that number is just silly.

There will be a day when having no banner is 'the in thing' ;)

My banner is not from skill it's from collection, my skills should NOT be judged by my banners nor my challenge points... it should be judged by my game, challenges can be farmed just like N7 rank thus...no scale of real "skill" exists as I can easily just farmt he same damn banner over and over for CPs.. but I find that a waste... I'm just going to collect banners for fun nothing more, if you rely on numbers to tell you how skillfull sombody is....then you're doing it wrong

What would impress me is someone who has the lone wolf banner without having played over 1000 matches or 500 hours, and having a maxed manifest. It's easy to be good when you have the best gear and characters and have played so many games that you're practically a cerberus trooper yourself. Then again i'm a noob and easily impressed so what do i know :)

I've developed a tier system that so far has given me a pretty good idea of a player's skill level. In order from best to worst:

1. Mass Effect, Spectre, Nomad, BioWare
2. Squad Elite, Dog Of War, any of the enemy banners, Blood Pack, Commando, Machinist, Outsider
3. Any of the DLC Banners, N7
4. Biotic God, Mathemagician, Lone Wolf, Weapon Banners
5. Hallowed Hero, N7 Day, Corsair
There's my 2 cents, for what it's worth.

PS- Then of course you have people like my girlfriend who only play one class and loadout and don't care about banners, but can kick some serious butt.

None. If he or she has bad weapon choice and gear selection, I am still going to kick him or her out.

Just curious if any of you have a banner that, if you see a fellow player with it, you automatically assume they know what they're doing?

Edit: Oh, and mine personally is Spectre Mastery or Collector Mastery.

unbelievable. i presume you struggle to breath?

Here's a banner I'd like to see: "My self-esteem is sufficient that I don't need a banner to promote my minor videogame-achievements to strangers who don't care anyway"

Squad Elite has dropped in value now that it's obtainable without extracting on platinum. In 3 weeks it will be as common as the weekend event banners.

Lone Wolf, Dog of War, and Outsider impress me the most. Sure you can grind for Outsider but even then it means doing a lot of work with some of the most squishy charaters and weakest weapons in the game.

Bloodpack is still my favorite though :)

The Dog-of-War banner is pretty hard-core. HTF do you get all those grabs?

I used FB dagger and got it fairly fast, hope that helps. :)

Lone Wolf is impressive no matter how long you've played or how good your weapons/gear are....always impressed when I see someone with it...hands down....one I have about zero chance of getting.

My 1st answer without thinking is None. But Lone Wolf is pretty much the only one who need some skill instead of just grinding and of course Best of the Best since it contain all other banner. The problem with banners is that none of them can tell you if it's a good team player.
