Hi
after the patches and so, is the shadow still bugged? From what I remember shadow strike was somewhat bugged and had not worked with melee evos or something? If anybody got some builds for gameplay these days, please throw the link or post them here. Thanks.

My idea of build is here. I guess this is gonna be viable maximally at gold. Platinum would be bit hardcore for me with Shadow I guess. I won't be using melee attack that much, mostly SS and sometimes ESlash. Feel free to bash me, if there is something stupid.

Cloak.   Duration/Melee damage/Bonus power
ESlash:3points
Strike:   Dmg reduction/Electric dmg/Shield drain
N7:        Capacity/Bower dmg
SMastery: Sword dmg/Martial artist (is it working with SS?)/Armor damage

Back when I specced my shadow the "optimal" build was 6/6/6/3/5 because lolbugseverywhere, but maybe some of them are fixed, as far as I know rank 6 fitness doesn't work with SS.

Rank 6 of Sword Mastery does apply to SS now, that was one of the bug fixes.

I think you should sacrifice Electric Slash of passive power damage (which still applies to SS and is a bug they don't intend to fix).  Take Duration, Melee, and Bonus Power in Cloak, then max SS for Damage, as well as Sword Mastery for Damage and Armor.

Shadow is very good versus basics, good versus mid tier units, and is sort of situational against top tier units.  Patch introduced an issue where Shadow can not SS an Atlas.  Otherwise, you have the potential to do decent damage with melee or SS verus bosses, but it is harder to pull off reliably because of the mechanics.

Wasn't the SS Atlas bug fixed?  But anyways, the power damage in Shadows passive applies to SS? I did not know that.

Be sure to equip a good gun, note that melee weapon mods add +% to the overall damage instead of the base melee damage.

Hi
do you know, if Martial artist dmg bonus applies to the SS as well? Maybe I should spec my SS more offensively then probably. At least the fourth evo.... Ideal gear would be Omni and armor mod would be Power dmg. Am I right?

I actually don't know if it does.  I think it might, it is supposed to get any melee bonuses.

Hi
used piranha before, but now I really like acolyte too for stripping the shields and using heavy melee a lot.

This is an excellent guide to the N7 Shadow, with build sugestions and in-depth explanations of how the powers work from a mechanical standpoint.
I recommend this not only to users of the Shadow, but to anyone about to play any infiltrator at all. It will change the way you look at your tactical cloak.
