as shep is space jesus 2.0 he actually dies in the destroy end but is ressurected three days later and appears to garrus his most loyal/ least disloyal (thanks for making him a coward ec) disciple on a hill on palaven where garrus repents for betraying space jesus in his time of need by creating the first galactic church of shepism.

50,000 years later, after a protracted and violent space war which was only resolved by a dance off on the charred remains of purgatory on the citadel it becomes the dominant religion in the galaxy, hence shep becoming a legend.

how is that not obvious?

So who is Judas?

But he doesn't get any silver.......................  I'm going with Maurader Shields, he betrayed Shepard by not killing him.

Or TIM, no wait TIM was right all along(except for the part where he was completely wrong about the nature of control)

Shepard is on the Citadel along with many other survivors (confirmed by the writers). The blast opens up the previously inaccessible core so people can now access it from within the Citadel. Shepard's com connection acts as a homing beacon. Hackett contacts personnel on Citadel and tells them to look for survivors. Initially they find dead Anderson - hence Normandy crew knowing they are dead. Finally locate Shepard who is too badly disfigured for immediate identification (dog tags missing) but taken off to hospital.

Even if Shepard had been killed, Hacket still knows that Shepard was last one alive who made it to the core and that someone succeeded in activating the Crucible, wiping out all the Reapers. I think it was a reasonable surmise that Shepard was the one responsible for this and judging by the ecstatic celabrations around the galaxy, I think it is likely that Shepard would become a legendary hero across the cosmos.

TIM didn't betray shep, but major coates! this crumpet eating surrender monkey orders a full retreat AFTER the only major defense of the conduit leaves, doesn't bother to LOOK at the area in which he claims "the entire force was decimated" to see that anderson and shep are walking to, and through the conduit, and there are various other soldiers struggling and crawling very much alive as well even though someone else apparently did to get the info to hackett. he doesn't just CONTACT shep or anderson or hackett or anyone else who knows the entire force was in fact not decimated, even though we know ALL of their comm systems are working.

imagine how the last ten minutes go if coates isn't a yellow bellied turn coat and as TIM mind controls shep and anderson a hundred alliance marines roll in behind him and start emptying thermal clips. now lets go see about this catalyst *pops a thermal clip for dramatic effect*

After the crucible is docked, Anderson dies from his wounds and Shepard passes out from blood loss. As the fleets are ordered to break away and leave the Sol System, Joker and a few other ships launch a quick rescue mission for Shepard. They find his body and bring him in where he's stabilized.

He awakens a couple days later and has a small memorial ceremony on the Normandy for Admiral Anderson, before they leave to rejoin the Alliance at Earth so that they can begin rebuilding.

Shepard survived through a lot tougher.

Oh and Hackett knows that Shepard made it to the Citadel. He's not stupid AF and can put 2 and 2 together so he knows that Shepard was the one responsible for activating the Crucible.

op is either trolling or poking plotholes ..

in the original endings, shepard can survive, because shep is the deadliest mofo in space and too stubborn to let the li die of loss and pain.

Ok, so how Shep survives shooting the tanks? I can do that.

*edit This is turning out a bit bigger than my intended joke about Tali's emergency induction port so I'll probably throw it over to fan creations later. But I'll put it here for now.

Shepard groaned as the ringing in his ears quietened to a dull thudding. He looked up through the haze that remained from the explosion, his pistol carried away by the blast and saw holes in the sides of the tanks where his shots had caused the pressure inside to rupture outward and away from him.

He blinked, his vision blurring as he fought to focus. He had been so angry that he had simply spent the thermal clip on the tanks. Shot after shot fired again and again in sheer rage at the Catalyst's cold, sickening logic. He hadn't focused his aim at all. Simply discharging rounds as fast as he could pull the trigger. In hindsight, that had saved him. Had he been lucid he would have planted each round square in the centre that faced towards him and the explosion would have caught him square on. As it was, he had been engaulfed in the fire, but avoided the worst of the directed blowback.

He grimaced as he fought his way to his knee's and through the ringing, he heard an insistant beeping. he looked down at what remained of his armour and saw his medigel controller unit faintly pulsing a blue light at him. He had thought it had been knocked out when Harbinger attacked him back on Earth. Reasoning that the explosion of the tanks must have jarred something back into working shape he hit the button on the unit and immediately felt the cool wave of his internal medigel dispenser seal his wounds and bring his view of the world back into focus.

He also noticed then that floor he was kneeling on was shaking. He looked up at the crucible and saw it was beginning to glow. He didn't need Tali around to tell him something else was about to explode and he was right underneath it.

"Huh". He muttered struggling to his feet. "There isn't enough medigel in the galaxy to get through that in one piece".

Looking around, he mentally ticked off his options as he lifted a hand to toggle his ear piece. It didn't even hiss static.

"Normandy?" He had to try, even as he moved to the remains of the tanks. "Normandy this is Shepard. I need evac".

The ground shook more violently as the crucible's glow intensified. Looking over the tanks he saw the explosion had cleared a hole beneath them, through which he looked down and saw the Earth under him. An arm of the Citadel partially obscuring his view. He climbed over to a tank that, though ruptured, still looked in good condition. Climbing up he looked at the brackets holding it in place and saw they were warped. Grabbing the top he maneuvered himself in place so he could grip the top of the tank and push against it's supporting pylon. Slowly the brackets groaned as they buckled under the pressure.

"Normandy!" He said through gritted teeth as the crucible, the citadel and space around him seemed to turn white. "Cancel pickup! I found my own way off!"

As the brackets began their final whine of protest Shepard looked down through the hole the tank hung over. With the world fading into white light he put one last effort. And then the world turned black.

The tank came loose and dropped like a stone through the hole leading to Earth and space. High in Earth's orbit Shepard dimly remembered that it would take over 10 minutes to hit the Earth from orbit. Then all thought evaporated as he was hanging on for dear life as the tank he rode picked up speed through his decent.

From behind him he felt, rather than saw, a wave of energy pass nearby. His skin prickling as a sensation that caused his body to go numb washed over him. He gripped tighter in response as if the hunk of metal he was falling with was a line line. Then just as fast as the feeling came, it went. And as it did a burst of fire erupted from the citadel arm. Explosion's ripped through the structure and it seemed as if all the tonnes of welded metal seemed to bend. He twisted his head sideways, looking up at the ring section. The arm had seperated! It was now falling away at an ever increasing angle and he guaged that he and his tank would fall right into it!

He could see the ruined spires of the upper habitatations and as he watched. He saw emergency evacuation modules begin to eject themselves from the structures. There are still people there!  He realised in horrer. Then the spires seem to reach out for him and he had his own worries.

1) Medi- Gel

2) Alot of Medi-gel
[/b]

3) Luck

4) Ive had worse

5) Overwhelming firepower

6) Not Indoctrinated

This is all stuff done in game irl not just made up for fun.

When I made the run to the beam I had a full stock of medi-gel. So being blasted and all that punishment before waking up again is healed up by some of that medi-gel. Think about it. We have done 3 massive games with all kinds of things trying to kill Shepard with fire, Explosives, Gunfire, Biotics, Poison (from the bartender in ME2 on Omega who Shepard being the only one to survive it gets up and kills the guy) and even the random punch to the face. Even somuch as to be spaced and burned up as falling to a planet after the first Normandy is blown up so points 1, 2, 3 and 4, come into play for all that.

As for point 5, got all the Military power I could (without using those reaper puppets the Geth) over 7000 x 100% readiness. Yes I played the multi-player that much just to be sure each time I go to win. Its dedication...... or madness. So the crucible is all safe and in working order when I fire it.

Point 6 is simple because that VI on Thesiea has some way to detect Indoctrination as we all remember it ran away when Lang walked in range. So Shepard's not a reaper puppet *deal with it*. And thus will not be fooled into Control or syntheses or the crazy one of not doing anything.

How they find Shepard

Shepard is found for the same reason we only see him take one breath, After waking up from Shepard in-hales and then lets out the longest, loudest, most shocking profanity every uttered in history. Someone somewhere will no doubt hear it.

(The reasion this is not show is it would bump the games ESRB to something like XXXXXX no one can see this ever so they had to cut it)

But going back to point 3 it will probably be that guy who seems to stalk Shepard asking for photos and all that junk. He did jump in front of a gun to take a gunshot for me so that's not all bad.

How did Shepard become a legend?

By doing even more stuff after the reapers were killed. Even the stargazers (showing that untold thousands of years later) know he did more. When he said it was late but still time for another story about Shepard. Showing there is a lot more because only time for one in that little scene.

All suggestions welcomed!

They don't, you survive for a few more excruciating seconds, before you continue to bleed profusely onto the cold concrete floor which is subsequently adding to the level of shock throughout your body. Not to mention the infections in your blood because Lord knows what kind of diseases the Catalyst had which your open wounds were exposed to. You then also feel the trauma of these previous wounds and the new blunt trauma suffered from the concrete slabs falling on top of you as you go into cardiac arrest from a lack of blood being circulated back into your heart.

In other words.. The 'best' ending.

@Apple_Svkk. You have the best .gifs!

Med gel dispenser are wired  throughout the armor. And that is long gone... In addition. Even if  there was somehow still gel that hadn't hardened from the air exposure oh and fire exposure. There wouldn't be enough to cover her/his many wounds and Shepard is in no condition to apply it manually.

I don't know, the original script had Shepard getting blasted back by a reaper and landing on a pile of rubble with a piece of rebar stuck through her leg. She then had to apply medigel and keep moving later. Sounds oddly familiar still.
