Actually, I find the leather rogue armor much more irritating than the demons. Am I really supposed to believe that these women would risk their lives for cleavage? They might as well put a bullseye on their chests.

Ah, yes, lol. That's a pretty funny feature that has bothered me for quite some time in computer games. Dragon Age is still better than some games in this aspect, btw. How about a set of armor that covers only the area from the breasts to the hips, leaving everything else uncovered?  I remember lots of those. Really, there should be a separate class for characters dressed like this - maybe 'battlewench' or something like that.

That's doesn't mean I don't enjoy the picture - merely from the aesthetic point of view, you understand.

Well, I suppose the mage who wrote the Desire Demon entry could have been wrong, but I don't want him to have been.

Do I mind overmuch that this wasn't the case in DA:O? No, not really. If they'd had the time and money to do it... they would have done. Why not? I'd like to see it implemented for DA2, however.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dragon Age has a strong % of female fans.

The game was written by Gaider mostly,but I think there's also 2 women who assisted him.It's obvious that women writers were involved imo,so I could see this game having a 60%/40% split.

Heck,I am less and less surprised with seeing women in the PC videogame section when I'm shopping.It seems Civilization 4 is now popular among women...

To the OP: Sounds like yer girlfriend is jealous of the pixels. Which also tells me she does not have a similar body and protests anything that diverts you from thinking of her. She also has you mind controlled because you agreed with her about the game having true nudity and blatant sexist content which it obviously does not. You gave two examples of PARTIAL female nudity because they are to my knowledge the only ones in the game besides the Broodmother and sex scenes. Big deal. The depictions are very tame.



I think BioWare was extremely tasteful when it came to females in Dragon Age. Their armor is protective and practical unlike pretty much any other game. Maybe show your girlfriend some of the heavily armored Ferelden women.



If you want to see sexism and objectification of women just go look at some mods but as far as the actual game goes I don't see it.

A Recent Study showed girl gamers are more intense, spend more time, and are more willing to pay for extra stuff than male gamers, aka they are more likely to buy DLC, more likely to buy gold from gold farmers, and are more likely to spend more time per a day on average than a male player will.

This is true. My friend paid god knows what for an 80 druid in WoW when she already had one because the one she bought had the phoenix mount. She was also perhaps the 2nd most intense achievement hunter I knew in general but definitely the most dedicated when it came to pets and mount achievements. lol

Far more likely that the OP in fact has no girlfriend, and created this thread in an attempt to overcompensate when in a rare moment of clarity he realized how sad it was that the desire demon was, in fact, the closest to second base he'd ever been.

Male nudity is broadly regarded as more offensive because it's less 'palatable'. Girls don't enjoy it as much as guys tend to enjoy female nudity, and guys are more likely to get upset over a sausage surprise than girls are about a couple of boobs. It's not particularly fair for the ladies, but it's a fact of the market and complaining about it will never accomplish anything.
