Sleeping is overrated.

I'm in College now, and this seems to be the general consensus for every student here.

Following up on what I wrote before, because someone also mentioned it, while I do have a TV in my house, it's only used maybe 10 hours per fortnight, and that when my kids watch it. I read the news online, but otherwise watch at most 2 hours of TV per week, and usually way less. It's amazing how much free time someone has once TV viewing is removed from the equation.

Had to wait a semester to go to college (Long story short: The doctor refused to sign my medical papers for the school because she jumped the gun on a long recurring ailment and thought I may have had cancer. There wasn't time for me to jump hoops.) So I basically have waaaaaay too much free time until Spring.

It is easy for me. No friends and no social commitments/interaction leave me a lot of time to play. Plus I am not into pop culture and tv shows.

I'm a teacher so I play about 1-2 hours a night winding down. However I was out of work for four months with a back injury, and during that time my pain and meds let me do very little other than veg on the couch throwing grenades at stacks of enemies because I couldn't sight in with a weapon.

I am in denial, so I assume the clock is wrong.

Become a nurse. Work 3 days a week. Wear p.j.'s to work instead of a suit. Profit.

Even though I only have 500 hours of game time myself, I'm pretty much like the OP. If I played this game more often, I would have joined the 700+ hour club myself but my interest quickly waned due to all of the issues. In fact, I had around 400 hours before they introduced the Challenges. I basically play on my days off (I'm not gonna haul my giant ass PC to school to try and get game time during a multiple-hour break in between classes).

Not playing other games up till now. Don't watch a whole lot of TV either.
So chalking up 1000 hours over the course of 8 months hasn't been that difficult.
There was also the couple of times I didn't exit ME3 properly for whatever reason and left it running for a day.

I basically don't sleep much, I always liked staying up to play games as a kid and it kinda stuck with me. I rely heavily on coffee to get through the day though as you can imagine.

Honestly, I leave my game idling on he menu screens a lot. I like the music.

As for how I've racked up so many hours... Well, it's not been a good year and this game is my primary stress release.

Got the game at launch, have had nothing better to do with my time. A lack of any real social life outside of my home is a contributor.

And before you ask, it's not by choice. I live in the middle of the woods in Absolutely Nowhere, USA. The only homes on my "street" literally belong to relatives.

It's easy to put in at least 3-4 hours every weekday night. I have a family who I have somehow managed to not neglect, and a stressful career. I play once they've gone to bed, mostly. This is my stress release.

Weekends I play at least 7 hours a day, having developed a slight aversion to the genereal public at large. And finally, I have gotten into the very bad habit of playing through the night most Friday nights till Saturday mid-morning. >800 hours. That's how it's done.

But with summer almost here, I'm hoping to break the habit, get down to the beach more, and stop looking like a Twilight extra...

And yes. It's midnight. I've just stopped playing. I have work tomorrow. Good night.   Image IPB

It's a shame that you do need sleep or otherwise your brain will deteriorate and you will die :P

NOT QUITE. Well, maybe. But after a while, you do start to hallucinate. When you do back to sleep after an extended period of NOT sleeping... be prepared for some funky ass dreams.

Hmm, I have 800 hours. I have played this game exclusively since release and I have a well-paying 40 hour a week job. But I don't have a family to take care of so I have lots of time to play after work. I don't feel bad about it.

I'm training people in camps like Ex-Cerberus. Roomate, friends that come over and play, and a steady habit of a game a day minimum. I work 5 days a week, up from 4 a day at release. My box accompanies me on vacation and business trips. I'm disappointed my manifest isn't maxed.

How do you find the time?

No, really.  This isn't meant to bash anyone or say you have no life, but as long as the game has been out to have 700 hours invested you need to have played a minimum of 3 hours a day every single day.  Do you work?  Go to school?  Have a familly?  Play any other games?

I am a 24 year old college student and I have around 500 hours in and I feel that is a ridiculous amount.  I play a few hours after class most days, more on the weekends, I play co-op with my girlfriend and pretty much whenever I have time and yet I still don't come close to some of these people.

So share your tips on time management, I need to max out my manifest :)

Lack of sleep and working 40 hours a week at a job that affords me to be able to pay my bills. Also no kids.

if a week has 168 hous in it i use 50 to work and commute to work and such. about 30 hours of sleep means 80 taken. That leaves 88 hours a week for whatever i want to do. The games been out for 7.5 months so about 30 weeks which afforded me 2400 hours of "my Time" during that period so less then 30% of my free time spent on ME3 it still left me at 1700 hours to do other fun stuff that doens't involve video games.

When you break it down its not much lol

I have about 400 hours clocked, about 50 of them clocked due to standby (keeping ME3 minimized while doing other stuff. The clock is retroactive so it counts time since launch), and I've only been playing an average of 1 hour a day since start (some days more than 5, sometimes taking breaks of over 2 weeks). It's really not that big a time investment.

You know wrong, N7HQ only counts the actual play time. So if you have a play time over 400 hrs that means you have really played that much time.
