^^^Skyrim was a boring ass game, Fallout 3: Medieval Adventure Pack.
0 atmosphere, millions of copy&paste caves which some people find "fun." Ugh

Stick with Fallout, game has a soul. That feeling you get when you're wandering...love it.

Compare Skyrim to ME3, and Fallout to ME1 and perhaps ME2.

And hell, Skyrim is better than ME3 overall.

Give them a chance. They screwed up twice in ME3 and DA II now, but both games had parts in them that give me hope for the future. TES managed to get over Oblivion, too.

Nope. I'll give them a chance with some other game, maybe. But Mass Effect is dead, and I'll tell you why.

I agree, ME3 had some really great elements, which tells me that it wasn't incompitence that was the reason why it was overall so meh at best. And the promises that they made prior to the release tell me this isn't really the game they wanted to release. So how did we get it? Simple. EA rushed them.

ME1: 3 years development
released for x-box

ME2: 2 years after ME1
released for x-box & pc
also released ME1 for PC,
2 DLC's for ME1,
and 1(?) DLC for ME2

ME3: 2 years after ME2
released for xb, pc, and ps3
also released:
ME2 for ps3
4 additional DLC's for ME2
1 additional DLC for ME3
multiplayer component to ME3
portions of additional DLC's for ME3

In other words: more work + same time = rushed.

And why would they rush what could arguably be considered one of their most important games? Simple - $$$$. EA was greedy and wanted the money now, rather than funding a properly developed game and giving it the time it needed.

Which brings me to ME4. They always said that it was going to be a trilogy. Shepard is dead (probably). So what motive could they possibly have to tell a 4th ME story? Simple - $$$$. EA is greedy and incompetent. They'll screw up 4 the same way they screwed up 3, because they're making 4 for the same reasons they rushed 3. They don't care about making good games, they care about making money, and 4 will be worse than 3 because at least 3 had the foundations of 1 & 2 to build off of. 4 won't have those, it will be completely stand alone.

I agree.

The Milky Way Galaxy can't be the only galaxy with life in it. Give us a new galaxy with new species. It can take place after ME3 where the Milky Way Galaxy species find a way to advance beyond their own galaxy. Then it could deal with the conflicts between galaxy merging. This allows Bioware to create their own galaxy with their own planets.

Wipe away the remnants of the ME3 ending. Depending on your save file import they will elude to the choice your Shepard made and then NEVER. MENTION. IT. AGAIN.

i have said this before.

But if you do not want future ME games, and you no longer enjoy any Mass Effect games log off, go to the store, purchase a game you will enjoy, and go to their forums.

Bioware is a multi-million dollar company, and their games will continue to sell simply because they are still a major developer, and their games are still considered AAA Titles.

people coming on these forums saying "I am not happy, unless they change everything I am done" will not move them, as for every person who says this there are several dozens who will continue to purchase and enjoy the franchise.

So you're amongst those who simply say the following: "accept the **** sandwitch, because **** sandwitch is all you'll get".

No, that means being complacent with things as they are, and I for one won't be that way.  If companies do things which are abhorent, then they should pay for that, that is how capitalism is supposed to work.

No, hes one of the "If you're actually done with it, then actually be done with it and leave the people who still care about it alone" people.

Good for you though why you had to post about is a head scratcher. It just paints a bad picture of youself as a person that selfishly believes their opinion matters more than anyone else's and that you would deny others the opportunity to play such a game and form their own opinions of it. it is either ego+ pessimism and hatred or pure trolling on your part. It could be the best game ever made yet you claim to know it all and proclaim it dead already.

So unless the game is made your way and the game is changed to fit your vision then the game universe is garbage to paraphrase. No that is not true.

BW determines the spirit and indeed the concrete nature of the whole universe and that was never going to be able to compete with your imaginary dream ME. You seem unable to separate your wanton desires from the reality of IP creation.

people act like Me is theirs and BW must make the game relevant to them in all ways. BW writes and we consume a product for entertainment and people need to accept that and grow and become better people for digesting that nugget of wisdom. We might not like what came out of their imaginations but demanding rewrites and retcons to what one person wants irregardless of what the other 4+ million people want smacks of ENTITLEMENT.

Oh I'm sorry: how horrible of me to share an opinion on a game on a forum, a device designed for the sharing of opinions by users.  I clearly am responcible for the deaths of hundreds.

That's sarcasm by the way.

There is wisdom in knowing when an opinion is both proper and it is a good idea to share it. This thread serves no purpose ither than to spread your venom and to incite others. It is a one-sided diatribe because you are unsatisfied that your needs were not met to a t by ME3.

An opinion is this game is better or worse than another or red is a better color than blue. Stating as if fact that the universe is ruined and BW cannot make a good ME4 is an exercise in misplaced anger not an opinion and certainly in no way applicable except to you.

Even if I do not care for half of the flavors Ben and Jerry's makes I would never say they should not make this certain flavor I dislike because there are people that like and want it. they did not ruin ice cream for me because i hate flavors they made when they could ahve amde something I would have liked and was relevant to me entirely. It would be both ignorant and selfish to claim that as a valid opinion.

Why don't you make a thread once in a while? Hard to believe you have nothing to say. All you do is mouth off elsewhere.

In fact in all my time here I've never seen you make a thread once. Too scared that you might have to defend your position?

Don't be silly. I defend my positions all the time, as long as the thread I posted them in keeps holding my interest.

You want me to go around starting some more threads? I guess I could come up with some topics. Like how the popularity of MEHEM proves that I was right all along about..... nah, it's too obvious.

Let's hear it. I couldn't care less about Shepard's death or reuniting with the LI. I still detest the ending, though.

Edit:  Then again, I'm pretty sure that I'm in the minority in that regard.  Reading through this forum sometimes I'm not sure whether or not we're talking about a dating sim or a sci-fi rpg.  :D

And yet: if this thread had said "Mass Effect 3's story is a jewel encrusted golden gift from the treasure vaults of Valhalla", a statement which is equally meaningless, you would have absolutely no problem with the thread's existance.

Debating one or two people isn't the same as when several or more are coming at you with substance or snark. It actually takes a pretty thick skin to regularly court controversy here. Whether I agree or not I admire that so make the thread.

But: it will arrive as inevitably as the tides, know why?  Because EA is publishing it.  EA won't rest until every penny is rung out of Bioware's IPs, then it will absorb the lifeless shell that remains and use it to make commander bland's monotonous adventure 38.

Yep. Regardless of how we all feel. EA will milk this franchise as sure as the sun will come up tomorrow.

Doubt this wil change anyones mnds, but this seems to tell me that ME won't go more shooter with the next instalment.

Of course people will immediatly assume that these tweets are nothing but lies and gavrons tricks, but I feel it's good to post them.

Q: Chris Lancaster[/b]
@GodMustHateMe87@YanickRRoy 'You can still expect the pillars the franchise is known for to be fully intact though'. Does that include making choices?
A:Yanick Roy[/b]
@YanickRRoy@schrijver absolutely! This is a key component of what a Mass Effect game is.

Q: Chris Lancaster[/b]
@GodMustHateMe87@YanickRRoy is the new ME going to be more shooter focused, or is it still going to be a RPG at its heart?
A: Yanick Roy[/b]
@YanickRRoy@GodMustHateMe87 The quantities may vary, but you can expect the same basic ingredients you found in ME1-3

Q: Grubski Lucas[/b]
@Seishoujyo@YanickRRoy Felicitations Yanick, for me ME is in good hands, but what about romances and friendship evolution, can we expect that too ?
A: Yanick Roy[/b]
@YanickRRoy@Seishoujyo Thanks! I think relationships are a very important aspect of an ME game and I expect this to be true in the next game too :-)
