Agreed. I actually lost a friendship with someone on BSN because I got into a contentious discussion with him regarding the value of romance content vs an actual ending fix. He was one of the more level headed users here too. Gawd forbid you deal with the basement dwellers who've taken their fixation on LI content to scary levels like on that romance forum. Those freaks actually got a section of BSN closed down perhaps a first in this site's history. Some here need to be put on medication ASAP.

Given that there will be a Mass Effect 4, or at least antoher Mass Effect game, what I want in that regard is irrelevant.

However, that will be a game that I'm going to have to be convinced to buy. I no longer have a vested interest in finding out what happens, I have zero interest in anything multiplayer, and the Bioware name is no longer a "must buy" for me.

I'm with the OP on this one. I was a die hard ME fan, but ME3 just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Don't get me wrong it's not as bad as it could have been, but it wasn't as engaging as it's predecessors either. It was just an okay game, with nothing new brought to the table like ME2 did after ME1. Well...besides combat. Anyway, I think I'm finished with the ME universe as well. I just can't see it being salvaged without making it worse. I'm not done with BW just yet, here's hoping DA3 won't bust.

They've had their chance: instead of fixing what people told them was wrong, they double-downed on the stupidity.  I have given all the rope I will ever give at this point.  It's up to them to win me back now.

So how can they win you back if they just let the series die like your OP suggests?

I'm sure Bioware values both positive and negative feedback, but telling them to just give up is not productive.

Like a bunch of others said, if you've "given up all hope" over this game then you should move on.
