I'm not aware of if enyone brought it up but I was wondering about the fate of ME Universe. Star Wars Universe for example is around for almost 40 years and is still alive and well. Mass Effect is Star Wars of my generation (I'm 22) so to speak. I wonder if the third game is the end of a such bright story. Does the future hold anything more besides Multiplayer DLC's, some comic books and animation?

It's already been confirmed that there is going to be a ME4. There's been a lot of guessing as to when it would take place however (Before, after, during the reaper war).
My bet is that they will do something after the Reaper war, but to do that they would need to make refuse = critical mission failure. I also don't see how they could make sythesis work; that would be pretty weird.

Maybe it wont reach the same status as Star Wars, but it'll most likely depend on the next games. As well as how much EA want to milk the franchise.

I wasn't aware of that, I think it's great. My guess it's going to be epilogue, Prothean empire maybe. Also they may make a new threat to the universe, Leviathan rise or something like that.plnero wrote...

It all depends on the quality of product being produced. If Bioware make quality games then people will continue to play no matter how long as their is always new customers entering the gaming industry.
