I was looking for a mod that lets me change default Hawke  and found this:

dragonage.nexusmods.com/mods/2145

The problem is, several comments say that the mod doesn't work after the 1.04 patch. It is the only mod I've been able to find and it hasn't been updated since last year so I'm not sure if an update to make it compatible with the 1.04 patch is going to come at all. It is the only mod that I've found that lets people change default Hawke.

Are there any other ways to change default Hawke?

Ok, the easiest way to do this is to go into your override (usually found at Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age 2/Packages/Core/Override) file and open up the chargenmorphcfg.xml document in notebook (not word). If you are running mods that change the CC then the chargenmorph file will be in the override.
If you have a vanilla CC and so don't have a chargenmorphcfg.xml handy in your override go and download Terra-Ex's chargenmorph compiler here:

http://dragonage.nex...ds.com/mods/971

Install and set it up and then when its running ask it to generate the vanilla file for you which will go to your override. Now you can modify the file as per the instructions below.

under heads human male add these lines to the end of the list (in the same format that you see in the document'

<resource name="hm_iconicmale_nomark.mop"/>
<resource name="hm_iconicmale.mop"/>

If you want fem hawke add these lines to the end of the list in heads human female.
<resource name="hf_iconicfemale_normark.mop"/>
<resource name="hf_iconicfemale.mop"/>

Save the file and when you open up the CC you should see at the very end of the slider a modifiable male or female hawke both with and without the nose tattoo.

Hope this helps.  Posted Image

I'm updated and it works for me.
Some of those people might not know how to follow instructions though, keep that in mind.
Trying it might help...
