I've asked for it for DA2 but it did not happen.

DA:O had some class based quest variety (Connor in the Fade/theft missions in Denerim).

Anything like that planned for DA3? I would wholeheartedly support it because those add meaning, uniqueness and variety to the game. Thanks.

That makes waaaaaaaay too much sense for bioware, who; as always; resort to "but programming is like, hard and stuff! sha...." but hey they had 5-6 years for origins and managed a rogue class storyline (quite enjoyible too!) and that was really about it, the conner stuff was just who gets to go in the fade

Da2 was just, let's say "rushed" so maybe, juuuuust maybe DA3 will actually remember to impliment class quests for all the classes, cause y'know, replay value & making the classes fully stand out individually would be nice finaly

I feel the need to point out that the thefts weren't class specific. I've done them as all three classes.

in origins? they thief quest line from the fat guy in denerim market? cause he never apears in my game unless i'm a rogue, mind you this is the PS3 version which is bioware did a lovely job butchering, conversly though, are you using a pc & mods that allow all classes? or is this an actual thing that you're able to do?

I support this. I would be fine with just one specialized mission.

The problem again is resource management, the people on the BSN will normally complete the game and possibly play it through again, but the average gamer doesn't even finish the game. So do they want to restrict content that only people that have multiple characters experience or do they want to create more non-specific quests that everyone can complete. What I fear is if they go the route of the class specific quest they are going to feel extremely rushed and empty because they are going to have to create three quests, one for each class instead of one really good quest for everyone.

I don't know about the PS3 version, but it's possible in the vanilla PC version. Just take pickpocket as a skill. In fact, the only time I ever had trouble with this was when I downloaded a mod that conflicted with it.

There's the problem~! i never levaled up pickpocket on warrior or mage cause why the hell would i? lol though i never use it on rogue either usually the fat guy gives the option and i have Leliana do the pickpocketing, maybe it's somewhere between a bad ps3 port and not using a skill designed for rogues on other classes

Yah know class specific quests along with class specific dialogue and class specific cutscenes are things I LOVE about DA so I'd definitely wanna see more of them.

Great idea. It would make replaying the game more fun too, if i get some different quests based on my class.

I support this. There should be bonuses for choosing certain things.

I wouldn´t call it bonuses, but lines that exclude the others. Just as you could perform all the robberies no matter the class, things should be restricted. That is, you get a rogue, well, you don´t get the mague or warrior quests and so on.

How about, instead of class quests, instead have specialization quests? If you're a rogue and want to be a duelist, you need to go through a lot of duels, or a dueling circuit before unlocking the class and its skill tree? Or have a questline with the Antivan Crows if you want to become an assassin? Or something similar for all the specializations for each class?

Would be a great way of introducing the hopefully more complex and deep sepcialisation's playstyle but you're talking a fair bit of specific content, more's always good but I'd settle for some great class specific stuff.

I think that the biggest problem with class-specific stuff as it currently is in both DA games is that it seems to be limited to "mage" and "non-mage". In dialogue in both Origins and DA2, there is no recognition of the differences between a rogue and a warrior. class-specific quests might be interesting, but they should recognize that warriors and rogues shouldn't be lumped together as not-mages.

I know. I'm just hoping DA3 is early enough in the development process to have this idea taken into consideration.

As long as  you have the pickpocketing skill (which any class can have) he will turn up in Denerim.  You can even do the 'stealth' quests too as long as you tell him you have both skills (just use Zev or Lels to do the part you have to be 'stealthy' with).  I have done it on all three classes, no mods required.

The bit in the Fade was nice, but not sure you can actually call it "class-specific" either since it varies only in that the demon will trade Blood Magic for being able to possess Connor at a later date if the mage is the PC and not Wynne, Morrigan, Irving or Jowan.

Was there even a warrior specific quest?

If we are going to have class specific quests, I wouldn't mind, but it should have a bigger impact than just 'unlocking a specialization'.
