I'm curious if we can have them in the game. In Dragon Age Origins, while the only dwarven companion was Oghren, but dwarven noble could have a son with Mardi in the origin story, Awakening had the all-time popular perky female dwarf, Sigrun (hint hint) and Dragon Age 2 had several girls like Isabella drooling over Varic's chest hair. Even though he had Bianca.
I'm just wondering if, since we've had mages, humans and elves as romanceable companions, if we could have romanceable dwarves?

I "think" Gaider said something about this in another thread some weeks back. Was something about how the dwarves looked. If they looked like "young humans", they wouldn`t include it.
Don`t take my word for it, though. I could be remembering it wrong.

I'm not sure why romancing a dwarf would be disallowed when in DA:O, we could romance a human as a dwarf.
Not that I'm exactly clamoring for a dwarf romance myself though.

A Dwarven romance? Interesting... I personally wouldn't find that quite to my taste, but if you're into that sort of thing, go for it. I always say it's better to have more options then none at all, especially in a DA game. I hope they include it for the people who want it and for the people wanting to experiment with it.

I think Varric would have been the best love interest of all in DA2. He certainly didn't look too young. I say go for it. My dwarven Wardens all looked good. And there was nothing wrong with my female Aeducan and Alistair getting together.

I don't think the dwarf model looks anything like the child model. At least, in previous games. :/
But, you know, as for the romance part, eh. Dwarves are okay. I mean, I think I'd be more worried about them stabbing me in the back, depending on their caste.

I have to say that until Awakening happened I had no interest in dwarfs at all. But Sigrun blew my freaking mind. Seriously...Lelianna was cool....but Sigrun was amazazing. Yes...that is TOTALLY a word....maybe...shut up.
